LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Lopez flaunted her toned physique in a sexy lace lingerie set as part of a new ad for luxury Italian lingerie brand Intimissimi. The 53-year-old actress and singer isn't ashamed to show off her toned abs and has people speculating as to how she maintains such a remarkably youthful appearance.

It turns out that the mother of two maintains a strict sleep pattern, a strict diet, and an 'intensive' gym regimen to keep her physique in top condition. The singer acknowledged that she consumes about 1,400 calories daily, which occasionally leaves her 'starving' in between meals. Yet she claimed that she is able to fight off her 'cravings' by attempting to concentrate on foods that are rich in protein, as per Daily Mail.

Jennifer Lopez follows a strict diet plan

The 'Jenny From the Block' singer adheres to a strict, 'very well thought out' diet, only consuming 'clean, organic, and unprocessed' foods, and abstaining from all forms of caffeine and alcohol. Lopez, who reportedly claimed that "working out is the key to her happiness," makes it a point to go to the gym four to five times every week. 



 

Her 'very, very, very intense' workouts consist of a customized blend of various fitness modalities with an emphasis on cardio, plyometrics, full body, core, and lower body. In addition to exercising regularly and following a nutritious diet, Lopez takes good care of her body by getting seven to nine hours of sleep each night and following a well-planned skincare routine that reportedly includes avoiding the sun and washing her face after each workout. 



 

What does Jennifer Lopez's diet consist of?

Lopez has shared various glances into her strict diet over the years, and it appears that she places a strong emphasis on 'clean' foods that are high in protein since they 'power' her body and 'keep her full longer.' "I have her eating very clean because she needs really good fuel for all the things that she's doing," one of her former trainers, Tracy Anderson, revealed to People in 2016. She further added, "It's all organic and it's all very well thought out, with the balance of very high-quality proteins and a lot of nutrient-dense food. Everything is fresh. There's nothing processed."



 

In 2018, Lopez tracked every meal she consumed in one day, which came to 1,392 calories, as per People. She said at the time that she started her day by drinking a 90-calorie berry shake, consisting of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, Greek yogurt, cinnamon, honey, and lemon juice, along with some Body Lab protein powder. She reportedly ate a kale salad for lunch that was seasoned with sea salt, shallots, pumpkin seeds, crumbled queso, and fresh lemon juice.



 

She informed that she enjoyed eating 'healthy snacks like fruits and vegetables' between meals, mentioning that her favorite combination was broccoli, peppers, and zucchini with vinaigrette. The actress consumed one boneless, skinless breast of grilled chicken along with brussels sprouts and sea salt-baked yams for dinner. She added in a separate interview, "We're all human. I don't think you should beat yourself up if you make a mistake or if you have a potato chip. Everyone wants a cookie or a piece of cake or fried chicken every once in while," as per Daily Mail.
