'F*** cancer': Ronnie Turner's wife Afida Turner mourns his death, reveals THREE-WEEK cancer got him 'sick'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tina Turner's 62-year-old son died after a short three-week cancer battle that deteriorated his health. In an emotional Instagram post, on Saturday, December 10, Ronnie Turner's wife, Afida Turner, 45 revealed that her beloved husband died in just three weeks of fighting cancer, which ravaged his body, while adding alongside the caption "F*** cancer". Ronnie, who had previously battled cancer, was discovered, having trouble breathing outside, on Thursday, December 8 morning in his Los Angeles home and he died the same day.
She referred to Ronnie as "a terrific musician and bass player" and an "amazing soul" with the "heart of a giant" with a picture of him and his deceased father Ike. He was declared dead at the scene after his neighbors' futile attempts to save him. His death came four years after Tina's elder son, Craig Turner, who shot himself to death in July 2018. Tina was only 18 when she became pregnant with Craig through saxophonist Raymond Hill, as per Daily Mail.

The 83-year-old singer later posted a black-and-white photo of herself mourning the death of her elder son and captioned: "Ronnie, you left the world far too early. In sorrow, I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son." According to reports, police were sent to Ronnie's house on Thursday, December 8, the morning after a neighbor reported he was having trouble breathing outside. When they arrived at the San Fernando Valley residence, paramedics saw neighbors performing CPR. However, their efforts ultimately came to nothing, and Ronnie was declared dead then and there.
His bereaved wife paid tribute to her late husband on Instagram on Friday, December 8, describing him as a "genuine angel" with a "big soul" and a "very spiritual" nature. She said he was her 'best friend, my baby," while she was "your mummy, your nurse." "I did the best to the end this time," she wrote as she shared photos of their time together. She remorsed saying, "I was [not] able to save you." Afida added that she has loved him for 17 years, saying: "This is very, very, very bad, I am very mad. This is a tragedy, [you] with your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner and Aline rest in Paradise." "So unfair," she concluded.
The couple got married in 2007 after Ronnie gained fame for playing bass guitar for several of his mother's concerts and co-starring with his mother in the 1993 film 'What's Love Got To Do With It', which chronicled her life story. He also played in his band, Manufactured Funk.
