GLASGOW, SCOTLAND: Rod Stewart revealed how his youngest son was rushed to hospital after collapsing at a soccer match.

The British rock and pop singer, 77, recalled his horror when 11-year-old Aiden went "blue and unconscious" while playing for his Young Hoops Under-12s team. The father-of-eight said he feared his son had a heart attack as he was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Rod recounted the "scary" ordeal before learning that his son had in fact suffered a panic attack.

"We thought my boy had a heart attack," the rocker told FourFourTwo magazine, adding, "He was going blue and was unconscious until he calmed down. It was scary, but it turned out to be a panic attack." The proud father said Aiden "wanted to do well" and gushed about how he "pulled on the Hoops in Scotland for his dad." The singer added that his son's teammate also fell backwards and banged his head, causing another ambulance to the called to the scene. "In all of my days watching football, that's the only time two ambulances had been called," he said, as per The Mirror.

There are many symptoms of a panic attack, per the NHS, including an irregular heartbeat, feeling faint, chest pain, and shortness of breath. However, the health agency warns that "most of these symptoms can also be symptoms of other conditions or problems, so you may not always be experiencing a panic attack." That said, Stewart shares his son Aiden with his wife Penny Lancaster Stewart, with whom he tied the knot in 2007.

The 'Maggie May' crooner, who also has seven other children, was recently hit by two tragedies as he lost two of his siblings. Stewart's brother Bob reportedly died two months after his brother Don. He broke the tragic news at the end of November. "It's with great sadness that I announce the loss of my brother Bob last night, who joins my brother Don on the great football pitch in the sky," Rod wrote on Instagram. "I've lost two of my best mates in the space of two months. RIP Don and Bob 'irreplaceable buddies' Sir Rod Stewart."

Stewart, who also has two sisters Peggy and Mary, did not reveal the cause of Bob's death in the post. His eldest son Sean had to be hospitalized in November following a horrific road accident. Sean revealed on his Instagram Stories back in October that he was "hit by a truck at a red light."

At the time, the entrepreneur shared a selfie wearing a hospital gown and a yellow neckbrace. "I got hit by a truck at a red light," Sean wrote alongside the photo, adding, "Hard out here on these streets." In a later post, he revealed he was "in a lot of pain" as he shared another selfie while sitting down next to his Labrador Retriever Prince. "Still in a lot of pain," Sean wrote alongside the snap. "Got my best Friend by my side #dogydoctor."
