Late actor Ronnie Turner's wife Afida Turner confirmed the death of her husband on social media. Sharing a moving tribute, she posted a carousel of photos of her late husband and wrote at length about his absence.

Ronnie Turner, son of Tina Turner and Ike Turner reportedly died on December 9 at his home in Fernando Valley. He was 62. While it’s unknown what caused Ronnie’s untimely death, he had battled various health issues in recent years, including cancer, reports Page Six.

Who is Afida Turner?

Afida Turner is a French media personality best known for her singing and acting career. The 45-year-old actress was married to Ronnie Turner for 15 years.

Her singing career began with the song 'Crazy About You', which was released in 1998. She became popular after her appearance as Lesly in the reality show 'Loft Story' in 2002 and she released her debut album titled 'Rock Attitude' in the same year. She then starred in movies such as 'Shut Up and Shoot' (2006), 'The Sweep' (2008) and 'Single Black Female' (2009) and made her comeback as a singer with 'Paris-Hollywood' and her hit single 'Come With Me'. Afida became a media personality after she began hosting various TV shows in French.

The singer was involved with rapper Coolio for two years and later with boxer Mike Tyson. In 2007, Afida married the son of legendary singer Tina Turner, Ronnie Turner.

Grief-stricken over the death of her husband, Afida seemed to struggle with the loss and took to Instagram to share her thoughts. She captioned the post dedicated to her late husband “My god Ronnie turner a true angel huge soul highly spiritual my husband my best friend my baby your mummy your nurse i did the best to the end this time i was no [sic] able to save you love u for this 17 years this is very very very bad i am very mad 😡.” 

Calling it a devastating loss, she ended the post saying “This is a tragedy u with your brother craig and your father ike turner and aline rest in paradise 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️😭😭💔💔 so unfair.”



 

According to TMZ, the police officers received a 911 call from someone who claimed that Ronnie was outside their home and he was struggling to breathe. He then stopped breathing a few minutes later. Though the paramedics rushed to the scene and attempted PCR, he was then pronounced dead. The reason for death remains undisclosed.
