One of the latest celebrities to extend support to Johnny Depp is his former co-star Eva Green. The dark-haired French actress took to social media to publicly show her support for the 58-year-old actor amid the ongoing defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
Green, who shared the screen space with Depp in 'Dark Shadows' in 2012 posted an image of the two together. She captioned it, "I have no doubt Johnny will emerge with his good name and wonderful heart revealed to the world, and life will be better than it ever was for him and his family 🕊"

The post has garnered over 200,000 likes in a few hours. Those who are part of Team Depp were ecstatic to learn that Green supports the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor. Coincidentally, the year Depp and Green starred in the movie 'Dark Shadows' (2012), was the same year Depp and Heard had started dating. Exactly 10 years later, he sued his then girlfriend and ex-wife for defamation for a 2018 Washington Post op-ed, in which she called herself a victim of sexual violence and abuse. It must be noted that despite not specifically naming her ex-husband, Amber's op-ed tainted the 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' actor's reputation and career. In particular, Depp lost his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the upcoming Pirates movies.
Besides Eva Green, other celebrities like JK Rowling, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Sia, Joe Rogan have been supporting Depp in the legal battle. Surprisingly, the 'Aquaman actress' co-star Jason Momoa is also Team Depp.
