Johnny Depp LAUGHS at Amber Heard's sister Whitney Henriquez's 'smashed devices' testimony
Johnny Depp looked amused as Amber Heard's younger sister Whitney Henriquez took the stand for the first time on Wednesday, May 18 in the ongoing defamation trialin Fairfax. 'The Pirates of the Caribbean' actor did not try to hold back his laugh as Whitney described that the former couple's heated arguments often resulted with some device getting smashed.
Whitney, who lived for a time in the same penthouse complex as Depp and Heard at the Eastern Columbia Building in downtown Los Angeles, was posed with a string of questions regarding the fights she claimed to have witnessed between the Pirates actor and the Aquaman actress.

Whitney said with utmost surety, "Every time they fought or had an argument, a device was going to get smashed. She lost a phone, a tablet, a computer — you could almost guarantee that something would get destroyed when they fought." As Whitney kept testifying, Depp, 58, had a rather interesting reaction. He turned to his legal counsel who was seated next to him and whispered something in Depp's ear which he found funny. After Depp let out several chuckles, he seemed completely unbothered by the allegations and accusations his ex-sister-in-law was rambling. This is the second time Depp's laugh in court has been noticed.
Whitney further claimed that her sister's phone was often the source of the former couple's fights. She told the jury, "Very often fights were, at least in part, surrounded by text messages or something that he would find on her phones." Whitney explained that things got really bad as Heard "was not even allowed to have passwords on her phone." She also clarified that if Heard did protect her phone with a password, Depp memorized it. She claimed, "There was zero expectation of privacy."
Whitney also claimed that Depp asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement after he allegedly hit her during a violent attack on the Aquaman actress in March 2015. During the incident, which became known as “the staircase incident”, Depp allegedly struck her in the back, hurled a Red Bull can at a friend, grabbed Heard by the hair and hit her before trashing her closet.
“I’m standing up there at the top of the stairs with my back to the stairs and that’s when Johnny runs up the stairs. I’m facing Amber. He comes up behind me and he strikes me in the back,” Whitney testified.
She said that Heard shouted at Depp “Don’t hit my f***ing sister” and then “smacks him, lands one”. After Heard struck Depp, he grabbed his wife by the hair and “repeatedly” hit her in the face, Whitney said. “Johnny had already grabbed Amber by the hair with one hand and was whacking her repeatedly in the face with the other."
Another friend pulled them apart and took Depp to another room, while she took Heard into a room, she told the court. Whitney said she could hear Depp “screaming like an animal”.
Following the incident, Whitney claimed she found a non-disclosure agreement left on her counter for her to sign. She said that she did not sign the NDA.
