'RHOBH' star Erika Jayne served $50 million racketeering lawsuit, internet says she'll be on 'social security'
For 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Erika Jayne, lawsuits and legal entanglements have become a part and parcel of her life, ever since the money embezzling case against her husband/ disgraced lawyer Tom Girardi began.
While the legal authorities continue to investigate her alleged role and extent of involvement in the ongoing money embezzling case, the reality star decided to take a break from all the legal drama and snuck away for a luxury vacation to Hawaii with her fellow 'RHOBH' stars Lisa Rinna and Diana Jenkins. After a relaxing stay in a luxury Maui Airbnb which costs $205,000 a month to rent, and sipping on champagne while flashing her $189,000 Cartier ring, as reported by The Sun, Erika returned to Los Angeles. But the 'RHOBH' star was in for a rude shock at the LAX Airport when she was served with a $50 Million racketeering lawsuit while standing at the baggage claim counter.

According to Page Six, the 51-year-old star was approached by an unidentified woman while she was waiting at the baggage claim counter. The woman handed Erika two stacks of documents containing the lawsuit against her. The outlet reported, "I just wanted to give you these documents. This is a summons and complaint to serve you,” the woman reportedly said in video footage, while handing Erika the documents.
The new lawsuit was filed by Edelson PC, who accuses Erika of "nine charges including racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, unlawful business practice and deceit, among others" related to her husband Tom's money embezzlement case. “Tom and Erika routinely misappropriated client settlement money to project an image of wealth and to prop up a lifestyle made for reality TV,” the lawsuit claims. The lawsuit also claims that Erika’s shell corporation- EJ Global company “was created for the purpose of funneling money from Girardi Keese to benefit Erika.”
Additionally, Edelson PC claims in court docs that Erika was aware of her husband's “scheme,” involving alleged embezzling of the settlement money allotted to the victims' families of Lion Air Flight 610. The lawsuit accuses Erika of "flaunt[ing]” her lavish lifestyle and “acting as the ‘frontwoman’ of the operation, selling to the world (including unsuspecting clients) that Girardi Keese was successful.” However, this isn't the first time that Edelson PC went after Erika. Back in April, Erika was named in another racketeering lawsuit filed by the law firm. But Erika was dismissed from that lawsuit.
While it remains to be seen if the reality star once again manages to get her name cleared from the new racketeering lawsuit, in the meanwhile, the internet had several strong opinions about it. Many Twitter users were pleased to see Erika's take-down while being served the hefty lawsuit. A user tweeted, "LMFAO she's a sociopathic liar. This doesn't shock me. I do love her getting served at LAX for ANOTHER lawsuit. She's going to be getting social security (if there's anything left) by the time she's done with VICTIMS suing her." "She has so many ongoing lawsuits against her… Does she really think people believe her when she says she’s not guilty of anything? I hope she loses everything and then some! She’s a disgusting human being," wrote another user. "I hope #ErikaJayne gets everything that’s coming to her #RHOBH," added a user.

Some users even went to the extent of demanding Bravo and Andy Cohen to chip in with compensating the victims. A user shared, "Honestly, I think @BravoTV and @Andy should also get sued. Aiding and abetting after the fact. They enable her and give #ErikaJayne a weekly platform for her lies and the opportunity to further smear/re-traumatize these unfortunate, hapless disaster & accident victims. #RHOBH." "@Andy Cohen is worth $50Million. He and @BravoTV should be partly responsible for making restitution to the widows and orphans since #ErikaJayne is partly their creation - they gave Girardi a national platform to front as legitimate legal expert to defraud unsuspecting clients," continued the user in a follow-up tweet. Another commented, "I think they should just take her paychecks and pile it up to be handed out to her victims." "$50 Million racketeering lawsuit served to Erika Jayne! #obsessed Andy really knows how to produce!" trolled a user.
