It looks like Ellie Goulding has an early treat for fans before the release of her upcoming fourth album 'Brightest Blue', due to be released on July 17. The good news being we will see a collaboration with Lauv on Goulding's song titled 'Slow Grenade'.

The pair shared a cute Twitter exchange on June 29, which began with Goulding asking her followers, "So I've been thinking about releasing one more song before #BrightestBlue comes out. maybe with @lauvsongs?" Lauv replied with an excited, "yayayayayayayay (sic)." Goulding then responded by revealing a lyric from 'Slow Grenade'. "... slow grenade it’s blowing up my mistakes. so why don't I, why don't I stop it? @lauvsongs," she wrote.

One fan added to their endearing Twitter convo by saying, "LAUV ME LIKE YOU DO!!" The humorous line is a reference to Goulding's hit track 'Love Me Like You Do' from the first 'Fifty Shades of Grey' film. The 'Power' singer then revealed a black-and-white photo of the duo sharing a warm hug along with the release date of 'Slow Grenade' — June 30.

Goulding's upcoming LP is split into two parts, titled 'Brightest Blue' and 'EG.0' (which features Lauv). The album will include star-studded songs featuring blackbear on 'Worry About Me', Diplo and Swae Lee on 'Close To Me' and the late Juice WRLD on 'Hate Me'. On March 28, Goulding and Lauv joined forces along with dozens of other artists to perform on Stream Aid, an online benefit event that's being hosted by the streaming site Twitch this weekend.

Goulding has also confirmed she will be touring Ireland and the UK in 2021. The seven-date tour will kick off in Manchester at the O2 Apollo on April 28, 2021, and wrap up at Dublin on May 12, 2021, at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre. According to uDiscoverMusic, the singer wrote in her announcement of the tour,  "I’m so excited to get back on the road and do what I do best. This album has been such a passion project over the past five years and throughout the entire process I’ve been able to picture exactly what the live staging would look like – intimate, stripped back, honest, yet incredibly visual and special. I can’t wait!"
