'Ellen's Game of Games' Season 3 Episode 5: George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston and more have fun with Danger Word
This week, Ellen took her thrilling game show to the next level. With twins in every set of contestants and $200,000 prize money, it was double the stake and double the trouble.
And as is Ellen's specialty, this week's round of games was also unique. From a mirrored maze hunt, sampling and identifying strange food items to being dropped in pea soup, the contestants saw some weird but fun challenges in every round, while their twin counterparts encouraged and cheered them on the floor.
It started with the Danger Word round and that was more than enough to get the adrenaline rushing. Twin brothers and twin sisters competed against each other. As always, with every wrong answer, the opponent got blasted with interesting materials. This time the blast ingredients being cranberries, chocolate sauce, flour and more! But that was not what made it exciting.
To give out the clues for danger word and winning word, we saw some of the popular and prominent faces of Hollywood. First up was Melissa McCarthy with the winning word 'disco', followed by George Clooney with the winning word 'surgeon'. Then came Dolly Parton with the word 'cantaloupe', and finally, Tom Hanks and Jennifer Aniston appeared together to give away the word 'buddy'.
This round was followed by a maze round where two competitors had to find their twin counterparts inside a mirrored maze and bring them back to the stage, not to mention dodge the confusing pathway lined with smoke, scary bunnies, and more things. Next up was a delicious round where each set of twins had to taste mystery food items (albeit blindfolded) while the other guessed what it was.
The winners from each round of challenges made it to the final round for the $200,000 prize money. And finally, for the round of 'Hot Hands', twin counterpart Marla managed to win $40,000.
