'DWTS' Semifinals: Cody Rigsby makes it to finale, fans say 'will riot if he wins'
The Semifinals on 'Dancing With The Stars' came with a lot riding on it for all the contestants. A double-elimination paired with two different dances for a shot at finals had all of the contestants putting up a strong fight.
Celebrity fitness trainer Cody Rigsby although not amongst the top performers managed to make to it the semifinals after a good Janet Jackson Night which saw him get 38 points. The semifinals had him along with pro-Cheryl Burke do perform a redemption Salsa to 'Danza Kuduro' by Don Omar and Lucenzo under the guidance of Judge Bruno Tonioli. His second dance saw him do the Argentine Tango to 'La Cumparsita' by Forever Tango. Read on to know how Cody did and the judges' opinions on his performances.

Cody and Cheryl whose previous Covid performance led to a shoddy Salsa saw them repeat the style and this time, a much better version. After all, in-person practices and dancing make all the difference. Judge Carrie said this was the definition of redemption but pointed out his inconsistent energy levels and asked to pay more attention to his feet and scored him a 9. Judge Len said it was an action-packed, complete Salsa but pointed out the fact that he was flat-footed at parts, awarding him a 9 as well. Judge Derek commented that although jam-packed, he was rushing at parts but deemed it a huge improvement scoring him an 8. Mentor Bruno Tonioli too loved it and gave him a 9 for a total of 35 out of 40.
The latter dance was where he shone more with comments like a red hot performance, a Christiano Ronaldo stares with a great opening full of drama, showered on him along with a little constructive criticism. All four judges gave him 9's for a total of 36. This brought his grand total to a 71 out of 80, placing him at the bottom of the leaderboard.
Now don't ask us how, but it looks like his loyal peloton fans had his back once more as he safely entered the finals of Season 30. The fact that he was the lowest on the scoreboard paired with the fact that he didn't do better than other contestants but made it to the finals didn't sit right with 'DWTS' fans who take the show seriously. His survival week after week has them asking who votes for him and why. His easy entry to the top had them riled up once again as they expressed their annoyance on Twitter.
One of the viewers said, "Cody 10000% should have went home omg #DWTS". Another one of the tweets read, " If Cody wins such a stacked season as this I will riot #DWTS". A user commented, "No because whoever is voting for Cody is going to hell #DWTS".
