'We count our blessings': Dwayne Johnson grateful as he enjoys Thanksgiving with family
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Dwayne Johnson in his recent emotional social media post on Thanksgiving shared how grateful he feels to be among his loving family. In the post the ‘Black Adam’ star is seen spending the holiday with wife Lauren Hashian, their two daughters, Tiana, 4, and Jasmine, 6, his mother Ata Johnson, and other close family members and friends. In his series of posts, Johnson starts with a clip of the Thanksgiving spread on the dinner table over Iz’s rendition of the song 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow', and thanks the chefs for the hearty meal.
"We went around the table praising [family chef @chefputtie] and our staff - and when we got to my mom (as always) it's very hard for her to talk about the blessings of Thanksgiving without crying. Hope all of you out there and your families had a blessed one as well," said the star. Johnson's posts were mostly dedicated to her mother, and how they faced difficult times initially, "Back in my early teens, we had a few rough Thanksgivings where we would pray in hopes that another family would invite us over to eat because we didn't have enough money for a Thanksgiving spread," reported People.

Johnson further wrote, "Things are much different these days, but my mom and I will never forget those times. Which is why it's impossible for her to speak about our blessings without getting very emotional." The Junanji actor shared a few dad jokes to lighten up, which sure got reactions from his two young daughters. He captioned in one of his posts, "Hey Thanksgiving dinner at the Johnson's is a vibe my friends. We count our blessings and man we have fun."
In October, in an interview with People, Johnson opened up about being a father, where he was asked what’s his "superpower," the 50-year-old replied, "My superpower as a dad is the ability to not figure out why I keep falling for the 'Daddy close your eyes' trick and I get peanut butter in the face, my face drawn on, kicked in the nuts," he joked, as per the report. "Everything happens, that's my superpower."
On another occasion he was questioned on his take on a presidential run, he stuck to his character with a cheeky reply on the topic as he had in past, "I will say this, because it requires the B-side to this. I love our country and everyone in it. I also love being a daddy. So my No. 1 priority is my daughters. Sure, CEO sounds great, but the No. 1 thing I want to be is daddy. That's it."
