Prince Harry reveals the SIZZLING gift he gave Kate Middleton at her wedding to Prince William
MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: At Kate's wedding to Prince William, Prince Harry surprised her with an ermine-trimmed thong while William was giving his wedding speech. According to Harry, an American man wrote to him about wanting to create something unique for Catherine even though he said he was not his older brother's best man.
Harry writes in his memoir 'Spare' that the American "set out to catch 1000 ermines" but caught "only two" which he then converted into the silk-stringed thong. “Rough year for ermine, I said. Still, I added, the Yank improvised, made the best of things, as Yanks do, and cobbled together what he had, which I now held aloft," Harry further writes. Harry pulled out the thong infront of a room full of royals, "The room let out a collective gasp. It was a thong," reads Harry's tell-all memoir.

The duke of Sussex continued, "Soft, furry, a few silken strings attached to a V-shaped ermine pouch no larger than the ring pouch inside my tunic. After the collective gasp came a warm, gratifying wave of laughter. When it died away I closed on a serious note. He concluded, “Mummy: How she’d have loved to have been here. How she’d have loved Kate, and how she’d have loved seeing this love you’ve found together.” Lastly, Harry says he "winged it" in the two-minute speech he gave to introduce William's two real best men at his wedding in 2011.
MEAWW earlier reported Prince Harry was chastised on social media for implying that his brother, Prince William, married Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, not out of love, but because she "fit the mold."
In the Netflix docuseries 'Harry & Meghan,' the Duke of Sussex discussed how he and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, were treated by the press when word of their dating first broke. Harry admitted that members of the royal family were "tempted" to marry women "who fit the mold" rather than those they loved. The prince also mentioned how his mother, Princess Diana, made decisions based on her "heart" rather than "many people" in the royal family.
“For so many people in the family, especially obviously the men, there can be a temptation or urge to marry someone who fits in the mold, not someone as opposed to somebody who you are perhaps destined to be with," Harry said in the first episode of the Netflix series. “The difference between making decisions with your head or your heart. And my mum [Diana] made most of her decisions, if not all of them, from her heart. And I am my mother’s son," he added.
