LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle was slammed on social media after her husband, Prince Harry, revealed in his new memoir that she allegedly told Kate Middleton she must be suffering from "baby brain because of her hormones” when she was pregnant with Prince Louis.

The Duke of Sussex recalled an incident in his book 'Spare' that took place in the days leading up to his and the Duchess of Sussex's royal wedding in May 2018. The incident reportedly revolved around Meghan telling Kate about having "baby brain" due to her hormones, per a "well-placed source" cited by the Daily Mail with regards to details of the memoir, which is slated for release on January 10. It's worth noting that Kate and Prince William welcomed their youngest child, Prince Louis, a month before the royal nuptials.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Harry wrote that Meghan was reprimanded over her comment and told she wasn't close enough to Kate to remark on her hormones. The Duchess of Sussex is said to have taken offense as a result. “In the book, Harry says that there was a discussion about the timing of the wedding rehearsal and the flower girl dresses, and Kate was very upset,” the source told the newspaper. “Meghan said that Kate must have ‘baby brain’ because of her hormones. It caused a huge row because Meghan was told that she wasn’t close enough to her sister-in-law to discuss her hormones, and it wasn’t the way people spoke to each other within the royal family.”

Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge stands with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex at Westminster Abbey for a Commonwealth day service on March 11, 2019 in London, England. Commonwealth Day has a special significance this year, as 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the modern Commonwealth, with old ties and new links enabling cooperation towards social, political and economic development which is both inclusive and sustainable. The Commonwealth represents a global network of 53 countries and almost 2.4 billion people, a third of the worlds population, of whom 60 percent are under 30 years old. Each year the Commonwealth adopts a theme upon which the Service is based. This years theme A Connected Commonwealth speaks of the practical value and global engagement made possible as a result of cooperation between the culturally diverse and widely dispersed family of nations, who work together in friendship and goodwill. The Commonwealths governments, institutions and people connect at many levels, including through parliaments and universities. They work together to protect the natural environment and the ocean which connects many Commonwealth nations, shore to shore. Cooperation on trade encourages inclusive economic empowerment for all people - particularly women, youth and marginalised communities. The Commonwealths friendly sporting rivalry encourages people to participate in sport for development and peace.

According to the source, the book "makes clear that Meghan felt the fall-out wasn’t her fault”, but “doesn’t exactly make her look very good either." That said, the term “baby brain” often refers to “memory problems, poor concentration, and absent-mindedness reported by many women during pregnancy and early motherhood”, per the Mayo Clinic. However, the research on the existence of "baby brain" is inconclusive.

Nonetheless, Meghan was branded a hypocrite for claiming to be a feminist while also perpetuating sexist stereotypes.

"#harry says #meghan told Catherine she 'must have baby brain' before the wedding in 2018 & was offended when she was reprimanded. What kind of feminist says that to a woman she doesn’t know like that-it’s insulting & disrespectful," one tweeted.

"Thank you Harry you exposed your wife as a bully and that she was the reason William fought with him and also with her disgusting comment towards Catherine and the baby brain. Meghan showed as a bully and a fake and insensitive feminist," another wrote.

"I cannot believe a woman who claims she is perfect/feminist/woke used the words 'you have baby brain' for her sister-in-law. Harry exposed his wife here. Meghan Markle will not be pleased," someone else added.

"Imagine Kate calling Meghan 'Baby Brain because of hormones' at postpartum, the attacks, abuse, and 'Kate is a racist' comments and stories would be endless and Meghan the Feminist can say this to a postpartum mother but William calling her rude and abrasive for bullying staff is," another chimed in.

Aside from providing insight into the relationship between the sisters-in-law, Harry's memoir also features a series of bombshell allegations, per the source. One of them is his claim that William physically attacked him. “[William] called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor,” Harry wrote in the memoir, per The Guardian.
