Drake's young fan Sofia Sanchez "recovering nicely" after heart transplant

Great news for the well-wishers of 11-year-old Drake fan Sofia Sanchez, who was diagnosed with a condition called cardiomyopathy. Sofia, who was in urgent requirement of a new heart, has received her heart transplant and according to her doctor Dr. Carl Backer, she is “recovering nicely.”
Dr Backer, who treats Sofia at the Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, revealed on Tuesday evening that his young patient got a heart transplant on Monday. “I just saw her about five minutes ago and she’s doing quite well,” the hospital’s surgical director of heart transplant patients, told the Chicago Sun Times. “She still has a breathing tube inserted, but that will be taken out in the next few hours.”
