GLENDALE, ARIZONA: On Thursday, February 9, Drake released a number of his "Psychotic" wagers, all of which heavily favored the Chiefs. It turns out that the 'Hotline Bling' singer was still able to make a respectable profit regardless of the fact that many people online downplayed his bets.

The Canadian rapper, who had previously bet a total of $965k, won $1.477M and earned $512K overall, all of which were results of the Chiefs winning the game. Drake shared a snap of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce celebrating on his Instagram story along with the remark, "Pay that man his MONEYYYY Eddie @Stake." The 'Laugh Now Cry Later' singer shared his predictions for the Eagles-Chiefs game on Instagram on Thursday, February 9. Philadelphia was expected to win by 1.5 points, but the Chiefs' potent attack ultimately defeated them 38-35.

'Not the drake curse being broken'

With the Chiefs' win over the Eagles, people were shocked by how Drake's curse has now been broken. One person wrote, "Philly fans saw drake bet on the chiefs and thought they had a free one." Another person who was shocked wrote, "Not the drake curse being broken."

A third person wrote, "Patrick Mahomes beat BOTH the Drake Curse AND the Teej Curse. He maybe better than Brady." The other individual who called out Timothy John Betar, also known as TimTheTatman, wrote, "The Tim curse is so strong that it broke the Drake curse."

Has Drake's curse ever been broken before?

Drake, who has been betting on sports for a while, earned the "Drake's curse" tag since he frequently picked the wrong team to win. However, there have been occasions when he has overcome his curse, one of which was in December 2022 when he bet $1 million on Argentina to win the World Cup in regulation time against France.

Argentina eventually defeated France in a nail-biting penalty shootout, but because it didn't happen within the allotted 90 minutes, the rapper suffered a loss. But a better takeback was Drake's breaking the curse with Argentina's victory over France. And speaking of right now, it seems like he is creating history by breaking the curse with a neat profit, as he made a 14% win rate by betting on the Chiefs defeating the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.
