'Tank Day': Drake goes home with $1.38M after betting on Gervonta Davis to defeat Ryan Garcia

LOSANGELES, CALIFRONIA: Drake went home with a whopping $1.38M after he betted on Gervonta Davis during the fight on Saturday night, April 22. After landing a stunning body blow on Ryan Garcia in the seventh round, Davis defeated Garcia by a technical knockout, ending the catchweight match in favor of the unbeaten Baltimore native.
Drake bet $1M on Davis' triumph and after winning, he posted a picture of the bet slip on Instagram with the caption, "Tank day aka pay day." The rapper received $1.38M on that successful wager, while three lesser bets he lost reduced his profits.

Drake takes home a fortune
Drake wagered $15,000 each on the first, second, and third rounds of Davis's winning round. Three of these incorrect estimates increased Drake's earnings for the evening to $1.3M. In the second round, Garcia seemed to be in command of the fight, but Davis floored him with a left to the chin, as reported by DailyMail.
After that, Davis dominated most of the following five rounds before ending the fight with a shot to Garcia's liver in the seventh. Garcia fell to the ground as Davis celebrated, his record now at 29-0.
Drake likes to bet
Drake is quite fond of betting on sporting events. He has been seen betting on MMA and boxing matches, as per reports. The 'Hotline Bling' rapper wagered $400,000 on Jake Paul to defeat Tommy Fury in February, per the Bleacher report. Fury eventually defeated Paul at the end of the eighth round, handing the 'The Problem Child' his first professional loss.
While Drake has continued to gamble on UFC fights, he has not been seen betting on boxing matches. He just won $2.7M by betting on Israel Adesanya to defeat Alex Pereria in their MMA rematch at UFC 287, as per reports.
