'Dr Pimple Popper' Season 9: Dr Sandra Lee meets young mother with nipple-like bump on her lip
UPLAND, CALIFORNIA: When renowned dermatologist and cosmetic surgery Dr Sandra Lee premieres 'Dr Pimple Popper' on the TLC channel on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 9 pm ET/8 pm CT, it's a brand-new season of pokes, prods, and pops like you've never seen before. Dr Lee must make an emergency house visit to see a lady who has stasis dermatitis so severe that she may lose both legs. In another instance, she is treating a guy who has hundreds of lipoma tumors on his back and face. Dr Lee will encounter a young patient called Angelica in the Season 9 premiere, whose confidence has plummeted since her pregnancy.

Who is Angelica?
Angelica has been suffering from a lump on her top lip for about seven–eight months. She had a bleeding blister on her mouth when she was six months expectant. She "sneezed weird, bit it, and it popped." Following that, the lump just grew very rapidly. Furthermore, it has gushed profusely.
She has previously sought the advice of dermatologists. Because of the location of the lump, she was informed there was nothing she could do about it. She was later referred to an oral surgeon. Angelica met with an oral physician, who informed her that the extent of the lump would result in some facial disfigurement. So they, too, were unwilling to help either.
What happened to Angelica on 'Dr Pimple Popper'?
Dr Lee examines Angelica's lip bump more closely. She questioned her patient if it had previously been larger and progressively shrunk down. Angelica said the bulge was about the size of a quarter. If she closed her lips, the bump would encompass the entire lower lip. Dr Lee believes it to be Epulis Gravidarum or Pyogenic Granuloma. She adds that people could get this when they're pregnant. She also observes that these bumps develop quickly and bleed readily.
Dr Lee further stated in an interview that pregnancy hormones can sometimes cause Pyogenic Granuloma. The alterations in a pregnant woman's physiology may cause lip disease. Dr Lee thinks Angelica's bump is diminishing because she is no longer pregnant. The bulge has been gradually regressing, but it is moving too slowly. This is where Dr Lee's expertise comes in.
So, will Dr Lee be able to help Angelica in regaining her confidence? Catch the season premiere of 'Dr Pimple Popper' Season 9 on TLC on April 5 at 9 PM ET.
