Don Toliver drops 'Drugs N Hella Melodies' ft Kali Uchis, fans dub it 'orgasmic'

Fans can't get enough of Don Toliver and Kali Uchis' chemistry in the music video

After debuting with 'What You Need', Don Toliver is now set to release his single, 'Drugs N Hella Melodies', on a highly anticipated collaboration with singer Kali Uchis. The album art is out and the single ready to drop on Friday, June 18.

Toliver has been slowly preparing for his upcoming project, and he teased fans with a few sneak peeks along the road. The collaboration, along with telling Instagram birthday photo, prompted dating rumors and Uchis' lyrics on the song feed into them: "Not that I’m conceited, I’m not one to brag/ But I’m the girl you needed that you never had".

The rapper, singer and songwriter celebrated his 27th birthday on Saturday, June 12, when he shared a couple of pictures on his official Instagram account, one of them being a photo of him and Uchis cozying up in the backseat of a car. Speaking of relationships, celebrities like Khloe Kardashian, Irina Shayk, Megan Fox and Jacob Harder among others recently made headlines for their love life.

The album art for 'Drugs N Hella Melodies' has a vintage touch to it and feels nothing like the name of the song. It shows a velveteen red background with an ornate gold-rimmed bathtub sitting in the center. The oblong-oval tub is foaming with foam in various shades of peach, which covers Uchis as she lies on Toliver's lap as they exchange a tender glance. 

'A collab I didn't know I needed'

Fans took to Twitter to share their excitement about the new single. Many commented on the stars' dating rumors. "Basic hoes gonna love that Don Toliver Kali Uchis joint," said a fan. "This new Don Toliver & Kali Uchis is perfection," said another. "kali n don toliver a collab i didn’t know i needed," a third chipped in. "Don Toliver naming a song with Kali Ulchis “Drugs n Hella Melodies” is the level of self awareness I f*ck with lmao," said a foruth.

'Should be on bedroom playlist'

"Don Toliver is like Derrick Henry in his first two years. I know that greatness is there, it's coming very very soon folks," a fan commented. "Don Toliver really should be on your bedroom playlist," said another. "Bro @DonToliver progression since 2018 has been craaazy. Man found his voice in the game and been goin nuts since," a third quipped.
