Big news for Ariana Grande and Doja Cat fans, the famous pop stars have been confirmed to be collaborating on a new song. Debunking rumors of a collaboration between Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande on Sunday, September 20, which fans have dubbed as 'DNA', Doja Cat did confirm that the fans guessed two of the three artistes right.

"I just want you guys to know the DNA collab is completely a fan made rumor and there wasn't any plan for it to happen but it sounds like a great idea and i'd love to do it. Just wanted to debunk it all for you guys cuz i see you all in the comment section buggin out about it," the 'Say So' singer wrote on her verified Twitter account.

Although fans may have felt disappointed by her note, the artiste quickly let out the good news with her followup tweet, saying, "HOWEVER the Ari and Doja collab exists entirely. <3" three minutes later.

The title or release date of their new song has not yet been revealed, but for now, we can call it "Arija"? Fans on Twitter have been quick to share their excitement, announcing "WE WON", over the upcoming song. "BARK BARK IM F**KING READY," exclaims a fan in all caps while another let out a "PURRRRRR."

One fan has already declared the new song is "coming to break records" and with a mega pop star pairing such as Ariana Grande and Doja Cat, the fan's statement may not be far off, but we will have to wait and see.

While many fans are still hopeful for Nicki Minaj to join the collaborative mix, others are not and are happy enough with Doja Cat's latest announcement. One fan said, "also make dna happen?? we want it ma’am."

Another fan wrote, "Just you and Ari no nicki please."

Ariana Grande had previously teased their collaboration on Zane Lowe's Apple Music show in May and spoke about her admiration for Doja Cat. "I'm obsessed with her. I love her. I was able to work with her earlier this year on this song that I want to save for whenever it's time again, to drop," Grande revealed. She continued, "I love her personality. I love what she brings to the table musically. She's just such a breath of fresh air. I think she's brilliant and so talented. ... We did this song together towards the end of last year and I love it so much. I remember when I first wrote it and sent it to her, she was in the shower and she was like, 'B---h, I love this. I'm in the shower.' And I was like, 'Shower. You can call me back.'"

It is not confirmed which album the new song will appear on or if it will be a standalone single, but we can be sure it is going to make headlines aplenty once it releases, so keep a lookout on the pop stars' accounts.
