'Time has a way of smoothing everything out'
‘It’s the Girls’ star, while accepting the award, jokingly said, “Time has a way of smoothing everything out. I've been at it for close to 60 years... and I do look fabulous, I know.” She admitted later in the same speech, “I've had some tailoring done on my face.”
Earlier in 2014, plastic surgery experts speculated about her having Botox injections and facelifts. While the ‘Cool Yule’ creator did not specifically mention doing any cosmetic procedure in her speech, it can be assumed she did go through the needle to maintain her everlasting beauty. While talking to Extra in 2008, she spoke about one of the most sensational topics of Hollywood, plastic surgery, “Doesn’t everybody consider it?” Talking about its effect on one’s mind, she further added, “When it really starts to cave in, I probably will start to give it a real good think.”
Who else from Hollywood admitted to having plastic surgeries done?
Dolly Parton, one of the most iconic celebrities to ever have graced Hollywood, admitted in 2019, "My look is really based on a country girl's idea of glam. I wasn't naturally pretty, so I make the most of anything I've got." She is rumored to have breast implants, browlift and surgeries in eyelids, reported Harpers Bazaar
Vanessa Williams admitted to resorting to plastic surgery in 2018. She said to New Beauty, "It hurt like hell the first time I did it and I swore I would never do it again, but three months later my makeup artist asked what I did and said my face was really tight and looked great."
Candidly talking about how she loved the experience, Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman said to The Mirror, "I have done Botox and I LOVED it [but] I've done it when I know there is a big gap [between roles]."
Katy Perry told Refinery29 that "I've done lasers and got [filler] injections under my eyes for the hollowing — which I'd recommend for everyone who wants a solution for their dark circles — but all of my assets are real,” before adding, "People tend to think they are fake, but it doesn't really matter."
While body positivity is doing the rounds of the internet of late, celebrities are coming out with their confessions of going through plastic surgeries. While some of them absolutely loved their experiences, some have shown remorse too.
