While it led to a falling out between Stiviano and Sterling, the masses became further curious about Stiviano's past which she kept under wraps for the longest time.
If you are following 'Clipped' on Hulu, you must remember Shelly Sterling mentioning Stiviano's criminal past in Episode 3. So, here's everything you need to know about V Stiviano's past that barely gets a mention in the series.
V Stiviano was born in a poor household
V Stiviano was born as Maria Vanessa Perez, according to a report by Times Now News. She grew up in poverty and hustled to make a name for herself in Los Angeles.
She tried her hand at various ventures, including operating a food truck and auditioning for reality TV shows, before meeting Donald Sterling in 2010 which changed her fortune.
Before her scandal with the real-estate tycoon, she was no stranger to the criminal justice system. Her record includes at least four arrests and multiple aliases, making her a true chameleon.
Breakdown of V Stiviano's criminal history
As per a report by TMZ, Stiviano, who was using the name Vanessa Maria Perez, was arrested by the LAPD for petty theft in 2002. She was convicted and placed on probation.
In 2004, she was arrested again for petty theft and felony burglary, under the same name, Vanessa Maria Perez.
