DMX ‘Exodus’: Air date, how to live stream, concept, tracklist and all you need to know about rapper’s posthumous album
We lost hip-hop icon DMX on April 9, 2021, after he suffered a cardiac arrest on April 2. The ‘Ruff Ryders’ Anthem’ hitmaker who always enjoyed a massive fan following across the globe, will now have his legacy continued in the form of a posthumous album titled ‘Exodus’. Legendary record producer and a dear friend of DMX, Swizz Beatz shared the big news on his official Twitter account.
He posted the official cover art of the album with the caption, “5/28 EXODUS THE ALBUM IS COMING. LONG LIVE THE DOG. DMX.” The newly-announced album will be a follow-up to the rapper’s 2003 full-length project called ‘Grand Champ’. DMX, who died at the age of 50, was apparently working on the album for quite some time and the rumors of him finishing the album started doing the rounds on the Internet before he passed away. DMX is the only artist in history to enter both the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop charts with number one debuts for his first five consecutive career albums.

According to Variety, the renowned music producer said, “My brother X was one of the most pure and rare souls I’ve ever met. He lived his life dedicated to his family and music. Most of all, he was generous with his giving and loved his fans beyond measure.” He added, “This album, X couldn’t wait for his fans all around the world to hear and show just how much he valued each and every single person that has supported him unconditionally.”
