After several hints and teasers, DJ Khaled has finally confirmed that the first single from his new album will feature Drake.

Back in May, the 'Wild Thoughts' producer's first clue was when he included a key and an owl emoji in an announcement on Instagram that the first single for his upcoming studio album is complete. "Up next: New Album in the works. First single BEEN done!” he wrote. Fans took the owl emoji as a reference to the owl logo of Drake's record label OVO. He concluded the caption with, "MORE CHUNE PON THEY HEAD TOP (sic)."

In a later post, Khaled suggested that the upcoming single would be a summer hit, adding, "Remember, there’s no summer without a summer anthem. I am summer!" He also revealed that he’s gearing up to shoot a new music video soon and again teased with an owl post on May 21.

On June 19, the hitmaker shared another curious Instagram post, but this time with a collage of Drake's photos. Now, a few weeks later, Khaled confirmed the upcoming collaboration with the two producers when he spoke on a recent episode of the podcast series 'Drink Champs'. The release date and title for the upcoming single are yet to be revealed. "I’m working on the 12th album," Khaled told hosts N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN. "Drake is definitely on DJ Khaled’s single, for sure, and the vocals sound so incredible."

Khaled added, "I mean the frequency on that motherf****r, the sonics, the way that s**t sound is just, it’s incredible." Speaking of Drake, he said, "That’s my brother, man. That’s like family to me. You know, Drake, you know what I mean, he always supported me." Drake and DJ Khaled previously teamed up for the latter's 2017 album 'Grateful' on a track called 'To the Max'. Another collaborative track that featured Drake was DJ Khaled's 'For Free', which released in 2016.

DJ Khaled won Video Of The Year at the BET Awards last weekend for his single ‘Higher’, featuring Nipsey Hussle and John Legend. His latest album 'Father of Asahd' arrived last year and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
