With Christmas getting closer, it's that time of the year when we start making the list of movies that we'd want to watch. For some, classics such as 'Home Alone', 'Jingle All the Way' and action blockbusters like 'Die Hard' are a must-watch. The debate for 2019's Christmas movie started when Disney made the bold, yet surprising announcement that 'Iron Man 3' would be a Christmas flick. While there have been enough reasons to justify the yes and nos, Disney might have edged forward by making the move— and for the right reasons.

The movie does fall under Christmas category

Remember when Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr. )suits up in his Mark 42 he is listening to 'Jingle Bells' by Joe William. If that doesn't set the tone, then we don't know what will. The Christmas bunny was a nice touch by the way. The plot may not do much with the Christmas as a central theme, but the fact that it is set in that atmosphere makes it feel like a jolly good Xmas film. The setting and the ambiance makes it a perfect Christmas watch.

Screw it, it's Christmas

Pepper received the best gift with 'Clean Slate Protocol' (IMDb)

What's Christmas without presents? This time, Tony initiates the clean slate protocol and that was equivalent to giving up his suits. For Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow). In what comes as a spectacular show of fireworks, there is always a lovely reminder that family is the most important to have. They were with us when it all started and they will be till the very end too. Plus, he did treat himself for Christmas by finally getting rid of the shrapnel in his heart.

The Christmas references

'Iron Man 3' has enough Christmas references. Remember the time when he signs an autograph for the kids while having lunch with James Rhodes (Don Cheadle). He looks at a kid who reminds him of Ralphie and says, "I loved you in 'A Christmas Movie'".
