Did The Pack Drumline reach ‘AGT: Fantasy League’ finale? Viewers slam studio audience for giving 'wrong' act Golden Buzzer
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The fifth episode of 'America's Got Talent: Fantasy League' aired Monday, January 29 on NBC, with the first group of ten semi-finalists returning to the stage to compete alongside the judges. At the end of the program, three contestants progressed to the final round - Aidan Bryant via Mel B's Golden Buzzer, Kodi Lee via Howie Mandel's Golden Buzzer, and The Pack Drumline by audience voting, the last one being the fan's least favorite of the night.
This meant that seven performers were eliminated, with no chance of earning the $250,000 main prize. With two acts already earning the judge's Golden Buzzer, the eight remaining acts were reduced down to the top three in audience voting, but only one would progress.
The Vardanyan Brothers, The Pack Drumline and Loren Allred were the three performers with the most votes.
Of those three, Pack Drumline received the most votes and is the only one who has advanced to The Finals. Fans on social media slammed the in-house audience for voting for The Pack Drumline while more deserving acts like Loren and Preacher Lawson were sent home.
On X, fans wrote, "I'm beyond disappointed in tonight's finals. The voting should be open to all America." One user chimed in, "Holy f**k does this show suck. Drumline was a disaster, and we have seen this act many times before, and they aren't even that good. AGT has gone down the tubes."

One viewer pointed out, "They brought a backing track could barely even hear the drums. Honestly feel like @agt couldn’t find worse voters if they tried. This is why I normally watch on DVR so I can skip these acts." A fourth user wrote, "They were good at best. Loren Allred, Kristy Sellars, Preacher Lawson were way better."

One user also wrote, "I don't understand what is so good about a bunch of guys pounding. On buckets like drums, and then they make it into the final. It's, it's not that good to me, but I'm not the majority of the vote." "Okay. But I mean it was one big ole backing track. Going back to those roots was just a show," another added.

Mel B felt The Pack Drumline's 'timing was off' in 'AGT: Fantasy League semifinal
The last performance of the night was by Team Simon's Pack Drumline, who regarded their second chance as "coming to battle" to win. Simon Cowell was on his feet for their performance because, despite feeling like an underdog, he believed they could win.
Mel B said they had timing difficulties that "were a little bit off," but she still would have given them the Golden Buzzer for their enthusiasm. Heidi Klum felt that the "energy was extra" and it was their greatest performance, while Howie believes they are the "most in it to win it" act in the competition.

Preacher Lawson left Mel Be 'laughing hysterically' in 'AGT: Fantasy League semifinal
Ahead of his appearance, Howie told Preacher Lawson that his first set on 'AGT' was one of the finest stand-up comedian performances he had ever seen on the show. For this set, he sought to get the enthusiasm back by delivering jokes about his family life, notably his relationship with his mother.
Howie stated that he believes no other performance is as challenging as comedy because artists "bare their soul." Heidi described Preacher as one of the funniest characters they've ever had on the program, while Mel stated that she was "smiling and laughing hysterically."
Simon concluded by calling him "brilliant at what you do," and it is apparent that he has gone out on the road to "build a base."

Simon Cowell described Loren Allred's 'AGT: Fantasy League' semifinal act as 'masterclass'
Loren was overjoyed to be still in the race and working with Simon as a member of his Dream Team after seeing how much support he had given her when they first met. On Monday, she performed 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' in the hopes of extending her path to this season's title.
Following a standing ovation from the judges and the audience, Simon described her vocal performance as a "masterclass," Heidi as giving the entire room "all the feels," and Mel as "to die for." Mel stated that she would have selected a different song for her, since anything else may have made the entire crowd cry.
