LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It’s always the small tiffs and tussles between hosts on the morning show that make all the headlines instead of the real news being discussed during the segment. One such incident transpired on ‘Good Morning America’ between the leading host Robin Roberts and segment reporter Janai Norman recently.

Norman was reporting on the Cardi B incident where she threw a microphone at a spectator. However, when she ended the segment by stating that the singer’s team had “no comment” on the issue, Roberts, who was in the studio, was completely surprised and double-checked with Norman, “No comment?” Norman reconfirmed, leading Roberts to warn her not to push the issue and force a controversial comment out of the ‘GMA’ host.

Did Robin Roberts snap on co-host Janai Norman?

‘Good Morning America’ covered the Cardi B incident in Los Angeles extensively. During one of their broadcast, the 33-year-old reporter Janai Norman revealed that no arrests had yet been made after Cardi threw her microphone at an audience member who threw a drink at her while she was performing. Norman quickly wrapped up the segment, ending with, "We reached out to Cardi's team for a response and were told they have no comment.” This came as a shocker to Roberts in the studio. "No comment?" Roberts immediately asked in a shocked tone.

"No, no comment," Norman replied as laughs could be heard on-air. Roberts then instantly replied, ”I'm not going there," as Janai hilariously responded: "You started!” After Janai looked into the camera and confirmed that there was no comment once more, Roberts joked to her co-star: "Don't start nothing.” There were good laughs around the table from other ‘GMA’ hosts Michael Strahan, and George Stephanopolous who didn’t let the situation go out of hand. Roberts's hilarious exchange with Norman could have led to a full-fledged dramatic debate if not for the two parties laughing it off without any concern.

Why was Robin Roberts missing from ‘GMA’ on Friday, August 4?

‘GMA’ saw all its three leading hosts - Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan, and George Stephanopolous missing the broadcast on Friday, August 4. Eva Pilgrim, Rebecca Jarvis, and Whit Johnson stepped in to take over for the usual trio and covered everything from former President Donald Trump's legal issues to the shocking claims against Lizzo. Roberts didn’t give any reason for her absence with fans scouring the internet to find a reason for the same. Although, all three hosts missing the show is highly unusual but has happened in the past.
