Did Kim Kardashian REALLY compliment Taylor Swift? Fans aren't so sure

Kardashian was asked in an interview about her favourite Taylor Swift song, to which she responded saying Swift's songs are 'cute and catchy'

Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West have had a celebrity feud with Taylor Swift for a very long time. However, Kardashian recently hinted at the fact that there is no more bitterness amongst them. In an interview with former New York Times op-ed and political writer Bari Weiss for her Substack channel Common Sense, the 41-year-old was asked what Taylor Swift song was her favourite. She answered saying Swift's songs are 'cute and catchy'. 

When asked what her favourite Taylor Swift song is, Kardashian said, "I really like a lot of her songs. They’re all super cute and catchy. I’d have to look in my phone to get a name."

Kardashian had shared a footage recorded in 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' without Swift's knowledge. The footage revealed Kanye West's conversation with Swift over the phone, about including her in one of the lines in his song 'Famous'. Swift later slammed the Kardashians and West claiming that the rapper was not clear about planning to call her 'that b****' in the lyrics.

Back in March 2020, Kardashian had accused Swift of lying. In a series of messages that Kardashian posted on social media, she claimed that Swift was not being truthful about the 2016 phone call with her and Kanye West about the song 'Famous', and the dispute over whether or not Swift was aware of West's lyrics. 

What is social media saying?

Social media users, however, are not sure whether or not Kardashian's compliment was genuine. Others believe that after all that happened, it seems 'too late' to keep the feud aside. "it's a weird concept to me that Kim literally contributed to the mass cancellation and ruined the mental health of Taylor...yet says she listens to her music? like- and this is from a recent interview," one user wrote on Twitter. "A bit too late, isn't it?" another user wrote. 

Some users said that Swift has seemingly made it clear that she would not forgive Kardashian, despite any effort on her part. "Hate swifties in the replies acting holier-than-thou as if it's their apology to accept. Just don't. Taylor made it clear she's not forgiving them any time soon in writing & interviews," one user wrote. "Despite public humiliating Taylor Swift in 2016, @KimKardashian reveals she has Taylor’s music on her phone," wrote another. "Kim kardashian is a hypocrite, just ignore her, she is useless to #swifties and Taylor swift . because of her, taylor swift has poor mental health.when I watched the Miss Americana documentary I cried. how a talented person like TS is trapped by a venomous snake for her husband," one user wrote.
