Blackpink has been on an unofficial hiatus since October 2020 after the release of ‘Lovesick Girls’. Fans had taken to joking that their hiatus was as long as the duration of IZ*ONE’s career and South Korean males’ mandatory military service. After months of uproar, rumors and despair, we finally have concrete information on the K-pop girl group’s next comeback. On July 6, their label YG finally announced that Blackpink would be releasing new music in August followed by a world tour. And it seems that Jisoo had given spoilers months ago.

Back in January, Blackpink had an online fan meeting where they spoke to fans on video calls. While talking about her solo debut which she promised would happen in 2022, a fan asked Jisoo if she would rap. To this, the Blackpink vocalist had said, “Rap? I’ll rap during the encore [concert].” Blinks (Blackpink’s fandom) are now surprised that they hadn’t caught onto her hints about touring. But this is not the only spoiler Jisoo had given as she had also spilled on the group’s August comeback.

Jisoo reveals comeback month in June

Fans were sure that a Blackpink comeback was around the corner when they spotted Jisoo and Lisa at YG’s building back in May. Well, on June 9, a fan asked Jisoo on Weverse, “Chu is there is a comeback in August shake the carrot!!” In response, she commented, “Carrot carrot shake shake! Why shake a carrot??” Blinks did not pay much attention to the interaction and thought that Jisoo was just teasing OP (original poster). But turns, out she was indeed telling the truth. YG announced on July 6 that Blackpink was in the final stages of their August comeback preparations and was recording the music video in July.

‘In Jisoo we really trust’

Blinks were shocked as they made tweets like, “JISOO WAS TELLING THE TRUTH MY GOD.” Another fan posted, “In JISOO, we really trust. Thanks for shaking the carrot, Chu 😂Our spoiler queen, indeed.” One Blink added, “Jisoo neva disappoints about August comeback hint.” Another joked that Jisoo was like a fake insider fanpage account, “Saurr trueee hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.”

Another flexed, “My girl always says the truth.” One joked, “I always trusted her. I may have called her a liar, deceiver and whatnot But I always trusted her.” Another fan commented, “IM SORRY JISOO I HAD TRUST ISSUES.” One Blink shared, “I never doubt our sister Jisoo.” One hoped that Rosé and Lisa were also giving a spoiler in their latest VLive, “Now, what if this is a spoiler?!?”
