CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA: Brittany Mills took to her social media to address the backlash she and her family received after her comments on 'Love is Blind' Season 6 were interpreted as a 'racist' slur.

When she met her connection, Kenneth Gorham, for the first time, unaware of his identity, she learned that he was a Black man. However, when conveying this information, she used the phrase "Kenneth identifies as a Black man," which many found offensive.

Those not directly involved in the situation wondered why she employed the term "identity," typically linked with gender, to characterize someone's skin color.

This choice stirred controversy, prompting Brittany to address and clarify the criticism she and her family encountered on social media.

Taking to her Instagram stories, she rectified, "Me and Kenneth's conversation about race had absolutely nothing to do with my family. Not sure how that was perceived, but I am happy to clarify. We were discussing being pro-Black and Black culture."

She added, "Kenneth asked how I have previously approached negative comments about interracial relationships as I have been in numerous of interracial relationships whereas Kenneth on the other hand has not."

She further added, "I was sharing my experiences with him and explaining how I have dealt with judgments from our society and my ways of approaching them. My answer was to come correct and ensure to correct those speaking outlandishly. Thankfully, not referring to my family."

This hinted that they were potentially still together, offering a glimpse into their plans as a couple.

Kenneth Gorham reveals he is 'grateful' to have Brittany Mills

When Kenneth and Brittany finally met after their interactions in the pods, both were nervous, but Brittany managed to exceed Kenneth's expectations. Overwhelmed with joy, Kenneth exclaimed that his fiance looked even more beautiful than he had anticipated.

In disbelief over his good fortune, he expressed his gratitude, saying, "God, what have I done to deserve this, truly? I'm incredibly grateful." The couple openly shared their affection for each other, exchanging declarations of "I love you."

Brittany, too, appreciated Kenneth's appearance, although she emphasized that his looks hardly mattered to her, as she was deeply in love with him.

As the couple transitioned out of the pods, Kenneth and Brittany began to face differences, and rumors of their separation started circulating.

Brittany noticed a shift in Kenneth's behavior after leaving Charlotte, expressing her concerns, "Ever since we left the Dominican Republic, your body language and voice have changed."

Unfortunately, Kenneth's body language seemingly did not convey an apologetic attitude towards Brittany.

While previous seasons showcased some couples struggling to make it outside of the pods, Kenneth and Brittany initially appeared to be going strong, with other couples admiring their connection.

However, cracks started to surface in their relationship, raising doubts about their compatibility.
