LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Even though Diane Keaton is getting close to 80 years old, she shows no signs of slowing down. 'Maybe I Do', Keaton's new romantic comedy, will debut on January 27, 2023. The movie also stars William H Macy, Richard Gere, and Susan Sarandon.

Keaton talked about the film and her love life in an interview. The actress shockingly admitted how long it had been since her last date. She also discussed her reasons for not being in a relationship and her theories regarding the lack of advances from guys. "Let's [say] 15 years. They probably just thought, 'Enough's enough, stop… she's too weird.' I'm kind of odd, but I'm doing fine," as per Extra.

The Oscar-winning actress was also inquired about her desire for romantic advances from males. Although she claimed to have numerous male acquaintances and friends in general, no one expressed interest in going on a date with her. Diane admitted in an interview in 2019 that she had never desired to be someone's wife. The actress claimed that she had given marriage little thought and that, at 73, she was the sole woman of her generation and possibly even earlier to have lived a single life, according to InStyle.

The actress decided against getting married because of her parent's relationship. That didn't stop the actress from having children without a man. She adopted her daughter Dexter in 1996 and her son Duke in 2001.

Diane noted that although her mother was wonderful, she was also the reason Diane never married. The actress saw what her mother had to sacrifice for her father's career and only be her father's wife. Her mother stopped attempting new things and settled down with her family after the family moved to Santa Ana. The celebrity decided to follow her heart and start her own family on her terms by adopting two kids by herself. She was comfortable with her decision, as she said, “I didn’t want to give up my independence. By the way, no one has ever asked me to marry them, either, so that might be a good answer. I should’ve started with that and called it a day," as per Interview Magazine.

The actress adopted her first child in her 50s despite her insecurities. The actress said that she wanted to be in a nice relationship first, which was another reason why she never married. “Those good relationships that are strong and substantive never happened for me, and that prolonged my indecisiveness.”

Diane never lacked relationships, even though she never had the chance to walk down the aisle. Famous figures like Warren Beatty and Al Pacino are among the men she has dated in the past. She also reportedly had an affair with Woody Allen. It was reported that Diane Allen fell in love at the start of the 1970s. His movie, 'Annie Hall', was reportedly based on Diane, whose actual last name is Hall. Keanu Reeves was another huge celebrity she was romantically linked to. It was rumored that the two were dating when they appeared as a couple in the 2003 film 'Something's Gotta Give' as per AmoMama.
