'Devils' Episode 5 Preview: Why does Dominic want to exact revenge on Massimo?
'Devils' is now beginning to get a little interesting as it opens up its characters to its audience, revealing important details about their past. When the show premiered on The CW, it began with a premise that merged high finance with the highly complicated lives of powerful bankers.
The show focused a lot on the storyline without divulging a lot about the backstories of the characters. This had led to many viewers of the show rue that they cannot bring themselves to care about the characters. But with the previous episode, 'Devils' is improving on this front as it delves into its key characters.
We now know that Sofia Flores' (Laia Costa) rationale behind seeing Dominic Morgan (Patrick Dempsey) behind bars is to avenge her brother's death. Massimo Ruggero (Alessandro Borghi), on the other hand, knows Dominic has something to do with the death of his wife Carrie Price (Sallie Harmsen).
The synopsis of the upcoming episode might show us the reason behind Dominic's involvement, if at all he is involved.
According to the synopsis of the upcoming episode, "Dominic (Patrick Dempsey) asks Massimo (Alessandro Borghi) for help in finding his wife Nina (Kasia Smutniak), who has disappeared. After locating her where she and Massimo spent an evening of love years ago, Dominic reveals to Massimo that he knew about them cheating and forgave him: but now after the Irish business Dominic can no longer trust him. Massimo is suspended as Head of Trading."
'Devils' is gearing up to do an entire 180 with the upcoming episode as it pits Dominic and Massimo in a long-overdue confrontation. The past is going to be addressed the next time that the financial thriller is on the television screen. And it is not going to be a pleasant, easy conversation.
Nina cheated on her husband with the guy he considered his son. Is that was irked Dominic to such an extent that he set out to completely destroy him?
The episode stars Laia Costa, Lars Mikkelsen, Malachi Kirby, Paul Chowdhry, Pia Mechler, Harry Michell and Sallie Harmsen and going by the teaser for the upcoming episode, it will delve into the past.
'Devils' airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW.
