Destination Jam: Our top five picks of the most cheesy, awkward and bizarre music videos to brighten your day
Today, we boldly celebrate the art of cheesiness. In case you thought you may have misread that, yes, being cheesy can be cool, at least sometimes... That gooey feeling when you get when listening to a dad joke or watching someone bust an apish move on the dancefloor is hard to hold back the laughs to, but it is that sense of awkwardness that sometimes makes their efforts truly catchy.
Like the below artistes who were unrelentingly being themselves and not caring what others think, we want to show you some of the most weird-ass music videos that will get you both cringing and addicted. Check out our cheesy, weird and bizarre Destination Jam playlist below:
David Hasselhoff: 'Hooked on a Feeling'
The lead actor for one of the most cheesiest TV shows ever, 'Baywatch', David Hasselhoff has never been shy to dominate the stage with his talented singing chops. Together with the cut-paste-looking '90s graphics in various strange settings, Hasselhoff gives Las Vegas-stage poses and sings over looped "ooga chakka" chanting and techno-charged hi-hats providing the rhythm. Look out for a grinning Hasselhoff flying with a duck migration as well.

Adam & The Ants: 'Stand And Deliver'
This next song leans more into the unconventional and is infectiously fun. Adam & The Ants' classic 'Stand And Deliver' made pirates cool in popular culture long before the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise.
Wearing glam make-up and pirate attire, this quirky video was released in 1981 and resonates similarly to themes of a Monty Python film. The music video features Adam Ant dressed as a "dandy highwayman" who threatens his victims with the mirror image of their unfashionable selves. He is captured and eventually escapes being hanged from the gallows with help from his accomplices (his band members).

Journey: 'Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)'
Ah, yes, air guitaring and extensive eye contact, one of those moments that you will be more comfortable watching online than in person. In Journey's 'Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)', this epic band rock such an event with their music video: air guitaring, air bass guitaring, air keyboarding, and deliver '80s-slick head-turns to the camera and to your hearts.
Ylvis: 'Intolerant'
A group that milks the art of cheese with their guilefully humorous tracks, Ylvis is known for their intentional weird themes and you were probably expecting us to include their biggest hit 'The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)' but we have to share some love for this track. To describe it best with our own adjective, the music video 'Intolerant' is freaky-licious, showing co-lead singer Bård playing the male member of a rocky couple and Latvian model Eliza Trump playing the girlfriend. The two fight over the girlfriend's intolerance to gluten and later reconcile with foreplay over peanuts. It is certainly one of the most bizarre videos on this list and it also helps that Ylvis turned the music from cheesy boyband-inspired sounds into another catchy track.
Yelle: 'A Cause Des Garcons'
The elastic dancing featured in this video is more addicting with every watch. The unconventional dancing style from the guest dancers is certainly strange at first but is surprisingly effective alongside this electropop banger. 'A Cause Des Garcons' is a song first released by the French duo of the same name comprising of Laurence Heller and Hélène Bérard in 1987. It was then covered by French trio Yelle on their 2007 debut album Pop Up, released as its second single. Watch their rendition below.
