Spoilers for 'Deadliest Catch' Season 16 Episode 10: 'Harm's way'

It might have been a gloomy and treacherous start for the skippers in 'Harm's way', but it ended with them reaping rewards for all the trouble and risk they put themselves and their crew through. Each captain had his own obstacle to the vault. If it was altering the course keeping the crew's safety in mind for Josh Harris, it was rudder trouble for Scott Campbell Junior. For Wild Bill Wichrowski of the Summer Bay and Jake Anderson of the Saga, it was all about the much-needed start.

With the icy winter setting in making crabbing a tedious and more dangerous affair, Josh Harris and the Cornelia Marie make note of the Siberian blast that's fast approaching. The storm, known for its ferocity and cold whiplash, gets Josh to plot an alternate course irking fellow skipper, Casey McManus. However, the move does pay off as the CM rakes in the moolah with staggering numbers of Opilio crab in their pot. But not before the rough weather buffets the vessel around.

Speaking of buffeting, Summer Bay and Saga have similar issues. But the latter with an inexperienced crew suffers a lot more than the other vessels. Wichrowski and Junior, in their hunt for the Cod, realize they have less than 38 hours to cash in their haul and start working double-time. Junior runs into a rudder issue, but the glitch is finally fixed by his father Scott Campbell Sr and they haul in a rich amount of Cod beating the Summer Bay. The profits mean having enough dough for their crabbing operation.

The Saga finally had some success. But not before an injury to Ross, his greenhorn, some shoddy deckhand work and a clogged toiled slow him down. With the odds stacked against him, Anderson somehow manages to plow through, as his engineer Matt does an astounding job of managing the greenhorns. Despite the injury, Ross comes back earning Anderson's respect as they realize all that sailing through the raging storm was worth it. Their pots are filled with crab and they're in three figures. That said, the trouble is far from over for these skippers and crews. The season is shaping up to be a rather dangerous one and while 'Harm's Way' has the message of risk plus grit equals great rewards, it also throws light on the dangers that lie ahead.

'Deadliest Catch' Season 16 airs Tuesdays 8 pm ET on Discovery.
