'DeMarcus Family Rules' is just around the corner and before its premiere, we'd like to introduce you to the adorable family breathing life into the new Netflix reality show.

The series revolves around Rascal Flatts bassist, Jay DeMarcus, and his beauty queen wife of 16 years, Allison DeMarcus, following the ups and downs of their marriage as they schedule their lives around their kids and careers. The show will also see DeMarcus bringing his comedic chops, spending quality time with his kids, Dylan Jay and Madeline Leigh DeMarcus and strengthening his relationship with his wife.

The upcoming reality series airs on Netflix on Wednesday, August 19.

Jay DeMarcus

Jay DeMarcus is an American bassist, vocalist, pianist, record producer and songwriter and is best known as a member of the country-pop group, Rascal Flatts. A Columbus, Ohio native, DeMarcus graduated from the Tree of Life Christian School in Columbus while living with his mother and sister. From 1990 to 1992, Jay attended Lee College in Cleveland, and at the time, he traveled and performed as a keyboard player in the Christian music group, New Harvest.

In 1993, Jay moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and co-founded the contemporary Christian band East to West. After the group disbanded four years later, Jay called his second cousin, Gary LeVox, and convinced him to come to Nashville and provide some harmonies on Michael English's album 'Gospel', for which he was producing. As they engineered the album together, they additionally became English's back-up band. 'Gospel' received a nomination for the Dove Award under the category of Inspirational Song of the Year. While working on projects for English, Jay also produced albums for James Otto, Jo Dee Messina, Austins Bridge and more.

In early 2000, Rascal Flatts made its debut with the single 'Prayin' for Daylight' (from their self-titled first album) which reached No.3 on the Billboard country charts. After 'Prayin' for Daylight', the album's other three singles all made it to the Top 10 on that chart with 'This Everyday Love' at No.9, 'While You Loved Me' at No.7 and 'I'm Movin' On' at No.4. The group has a total of 10 studio albums with 2017's 'Back To Us'. In October 2018, DeMarcus founded the independent Christian music label, Red Street Records.

Allison grew up in Jackson, Tennessee. She is a graduate of the University School of Jackson and a graduate-cum-laude with a degree in business administration from Rhodes College in 1999. She won the Wall Street Journal Award for Excellence in Finance for being the top finance student in her graduating class.

Allison currently works on the CMT show, 'Hot 20 Countdown', and is the regular host of the Miss Tennessee pageant, which is held in her hometown. She has been a red-carpet-show host for the CMT Music Awards, a roving reporter and correspondent for the Miss America pageant and a correspondent for CMT Insider. In the few photos we've seen of her on social media, Madeline is always cheerful with a sunny smile on her face and is treated with much adoration and love from her parents. Jay DeMarcus shared a photo on Instagram in April sharing his sentiment over his kids: "I have to say: one of the best parts about this whole stay at home thing, is getting to spend more time with, and see different, amazing sides of my kids’ personalities that I wouldn’t have otherwise seen." He added, "I am amazed at how quickly they’ve grown-their own thoughts and feelings, turning into real people, it’s all still so mind-boggling to me... I’m so proud of the giving, tender hearts they have..."

Dylan Jay DeMarcus

Dylan, 8, is an energetic fun-loving child who plays football. He also enjoys going on golfing trips with his dad and participating in special events like his school’s pet showcase. In a recent teaser for 'DeMarcus Family Rules', Dylan appears to share a humorous side like his dad, pulling faces at the camera as they announce the show.
