Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl shared his support for those on the frontline of the battle against coronavirus pandemic with a touching acoustic rendition of 'My Hero' on 'Fox Presents the iHeart Living Room Concert for America' on March 29.

In support for all nurses, doctors, and other first responders, the Elton John-hosted benefit concert seeks to spread social distancing awareness and share its appreciation for their hard work. It also aims to help those affected by the coronavirus as well as raise money for Feeding America and First Responders Children’s Foundation.

In his performance, Grohl plays nothing but an acoustic guitar in his home studio surrounded by musical equipment while he belts out, "There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes. There goes my hero. He's ordinary" in the chorus. 'My Hero' was released in 1998 as the third single from Foo Fighters' second album 'The Colour and the Shape', and reached number 6 on the US Billboard Alternative Songs chart.

Fans on Twitter shared their amazement for the heartfelt rendition, describing it as "awesome", "flawless", and "beautiful", with one fan saying they have "no words!!! (sic)".

In a 2019 interview, engineer Bradley Cook, who has worked with Foo Fighters amongst numerous renowned artists, said "It’s about Kurt Cobain" when asked to share details on the track, according to Radio 104.5. Now, fans deem Grohl as their hero, saying, "Dave you’re my HERO" and "God i love Grohl!"

"He’s still got it," says a fan who holds their favorite rock 'n' roll star highly while another expressed their disappointment for missing the performance, saying, "I missed it. The one performer I cared to see :("

One fan caught on to Grohl's spirit behind delivering 'My Hero' at this time, saying, "The people on the front lines battling #COVID19 are our heroes (sic)".

Grohl joined many celebrated artists for the living room concert such as Billie Eilish (who performed 'Bad Guy'), Backstreet Boys ('I Want It That Way'), Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong ('I Walk Alone'), Demi Lovato ('Skyscraper') among others.
