Pro wrestling fanatics, rejoice! VICE TV’s critically-acclaimed series ‘Dark Side of the Ring’ is set to enthrall viewers with its highly-anticipated Season 3. The series examines the fantasy and reality in the singular universe of professional wrestling, telling some of the dark and untold stories around some of the all-time greats.

From mysterious deaths to backstage controversies, the series also explores the darkest stories from the golden era of professional wrestling. The show has given insights about various topics, but most importantly, it gave the viewers an idea that the world of professional wrestling is not as glittery as they believe it to be. There is a reality behind it and it is filled with some really dark secrets.

Season 1 and Season 2 turned out to be really successful for VICE. It is also the highest-rated show for VICE TV since its launch four years ago. The finale episode of Season 2, which covered the tragic death of iconic wrestler Owen Hart, broke many viewership records for the network and pulled in 626,000 viewers.

The makers and the network would be hoping for the same kind of reception this time around as well. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming season of ‘Dark Side of the Ring’.

Season 3 of ‘Dark Side of the Ring’ has been divided into two parts. The first part will be premiering exclusively on VICE TV on Thursday, May 6.  

Air time and how to live stream

The upcoming season is set to air on the network on Thursday, May 6 at 9 pm ET. Viewers can download the ‘VICE TV’ app from the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. You can also watch most of the network’s shows on iTunes, Amazon, VUDU, Microsoft, Playstation Video, and more.

If you are not based in the United States, then you might need the help of a VPN to watch all the shows from VICE.


The official synopsis reads, “The third season continues the rich storytelling that defined seasons one and two and will bring viewers more of the real-life drama they crave. Through first-person interviews, rare archival footage, and dramatic recreations, 'Dark Side of the Ring' exposes the wild and often criminal elements that dwell in the shadows of professional wrestling.”

Just like the previous two editions, this season will also feature some of the biggest names from the wrestling world. Iconic wrestlers like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, and Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Apart from them, people like Eric Bischoff, actor David Arquette, and Jim Cornette will also be making an appearance on the show.

Wrestler Ultimate Warrior (WWE)



The series is created by Evan Husney and Jason Eisener. Eisner is also responsible for directing various episodes of the show as well. Barry David will be producing the third season while Husney, Eisener, Lee Hoffman and Vanessa Case will serve as executive producers.


The trailer sees wrestlers like Moxley and Jake “The Snake” Roberts talking about various incidents that took place in professional wrestling.
