'Dancing With The Stars': Anne Heche eliminated, disheartened fans say 'you deserved better', seek her comeback

Although it was an extremely close call, the judges had to let Heche go with Carrie Ann and Derek Hough voting against her

The latest (Monday, October 5) episode of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ began with a comedic PSA which saw celebrity contestants reflect on their emotions. In the latest episode, top 13 contestants competed against one another to make the mirrorball trophy theirs.

There was no dearth of powerful performances in Episode 5 of DWTS and nearly every couple delivered a better performance than their last. However, after live voting paired with the scores given by the judges, Monica Aldama with her dancing partner Val Chmerkovskiy and Anne Heche along with Keo Motsepe found themselves in the bottom two of the rank chart. There was also a lot of confusion surrounding the elimination as the host, Tyra Banks, had accidentally announced Vernon Davis and Peta in the bottom two with Heche, but later corrected herself stating "human error" and called Aldama back on the stage with her dancing partner. Although it was an extremely close call, the judges had to let Heche go. Carrie Ann and Derek Hough voted against her.

The actress' final episode on DWTS was also an emotional one as she opened up about her former relationship with daily talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres. While fans flooded her with encouraging tweets, for gathering the courage to talk about an aspect so personal to her, it seems like they couldn't save their favorite star with the votes. Soon after Heche was eliminated, fans took to Twitter to thank her for entertaining them so far with her brilliant performances. Meanwhile, some fans have expressed how thoroughly they are disappointed to let Heche go from the dancing reality show.

One tweeted, "@AnneHeche you’re amazing anne!! you absolutely killed your dances!! thank you for all you’ve done!! love you so much" Another added, "@AnneHeche @keodancer you guys gave it all and are such an amazing team and i'm so sad you went like this, you deserved better, so sorry :'( <3 gonna miss you!"

Meanwhile, a few fans are rooting for her comeback in the following weeks. One noted, "@ABC_Publicity can you bring Anne heche back next week, as a re-do cuz y’all never mentioned chrishell, American idol had a re-do week before #dwts." Another disappointed fan noted, "Well, I'm not happy that @AnneHeche left tonight. I'm sorry Anne. I actually voted for you. Love you and @keodancer

'Dancing With The Stars' airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
