Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin spotted holding hands during romantic coffee run in Malibu
MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: Dakota Johnson is surely dancing up to her beau, Chris Martin’s tunes. She was spotted holding hands with her rockstar boyfriend on April 8 during a romantic coffee run in Malibu, California.
The happy pair, who have been in a low-key romance for over five years, strolled arm-in-arm on a rare public outing and appeared to be in love. The 33-year-old ‘Madame Web’ actress donned black straight-leg embroidered pants, a black cap and huge dark spectacles.

Martin, 46, wore a light gray T-shirt with a little button on the shoulder, dark gray fitting trousers, and running shoes for a relaxed look. Coldplay's leader had well-groomed facial hair and a light gray beanie. The ‘Fifty Shades of Grey' actress donned a Bruce Springsteen graphic shirt and had a little bandage on her arm, maybe after giving blood for medical testing before flying with her lover. Johnson's T-shirt was inspired by Martin's recent revelation that Bruce Springsteen motivated him to eat only one meal a day after noticing that the Born in the USA singer was in "better form than him."
Martin likes to be in shape
Martin revealed this during an interview on Conan O'Brien's podcast Wants A Friend. He claimed that he chose to limit his meals because he was envious of the 73-year-old singer's great figure. When asked if he'd lately had dinner with any famous performers, he told the presenter that he 'doesn't have supper anymore' since he quits eating at 4 pm, a suggestion he acquired from fellow musician Bruce. "I don't eat dinner any longer. I quit eating at four o'clock, something I learnt from having lunch with Bruce Springsteen," Martin explained.
The ‘Head Full of Dreams' actor went on to say that he was impressed by Bruce's physique and decided to ask him how he remains in such good shape over a meal they shared after performing together at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, last June. "I was on a really strict diet anyway. But I was like, 'Bruce looks even more in shape than me,"' he said. He added, "And Patti [Bruce's wife] said he's only eating one meal a day. I was like, 'Well, there we go. That's my next challenge."'
Dakota is a thoughtful girlfriend
Johnson and Martin made a big move and moved in together in February 2021. They now reside in Malibu. In the March 19 episode of the Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend podcast, Martin recounted how Johnson helped Coldplay reassess accessibility at their gigs by introducing him to new tactile technology. "They are called SubPacs," Martin explained. He added, "Dakota, my partner, gave me one as a gift because she saw someone online experiencing whatever they are experiencing with this — it's kind of like body armor — you put it on and plug it in and it connects to the base."
Johnson had seen the technology in action online and informed Martin that he "should use this somehow." "So, we started using it and it's been so amazing and it should get better and better," Martin continued. He added, "We have 10 or 20 now—every night—of those packs and so if you're hearing impaired we have an area where you sign up and you put on the pack and you can feel the show." He further added that the SubPacs are expensive, but well-worth it because “they are amazing and the things that people do to consider other people are just wonderful."
