PARK CITY, UTAH: Dakota Johnson tickled the audience at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival with her speech where she took a dig at actor Armie Hammer. The actress who appeared on the stage to present her friend and collaborator Luca Guadagnino with the international icon award also praised the movie, 'Call Me by Your Name', which had a screening at the event.

According to Variety, Dakota joked about being offered a role in the movie and said, “Luca had asked me to play the role of the peach, but our schedules conflicted. Thank god, though. I would have been another woman that Armie Hammer would have tried to eat.”

The actress was referring to a scene in the movie where Timothée Chalamet’s character Elio performs a sexual act on a piece of fruit, and which Hammer’s character eventually discovers. The '50 shades of grey' actress said she had to turn down the offer due to time and schedule conflicts. She giggled and then asked, “Who knew cannibalism was so popular?."
