PARK CITY, UTAH: Dakota Johnson tickled the audience at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival with her speech where she took a dig at actor Armie Hammer. The actress who appeared on the stage to present her friend and collaborator Luca Guadagnino with the international icon award also praised the movie, 'Call Me by Your Name', which had a screening at the event.

According to Variety, Dakota joked about being offered a role in the movie and said, “Luca had asked me to play the role of the peach, but our schedules conflicted. Thank god, though. I would have been another woman that Armie Hammer would have tried to eat.”

The actress was referring to a scene in the movie where Timothée Chalamet’s character Elio performs a sexual act on a piece of fruit, and which Hammer’s character eventually discovers. The '50 shades of grey' actress said she had to turn down the offer due to time and schedule conflicts. She giggled and then asked, “Who knew cannibalism was so popular?."

Meanwhile,'The Lone Ranger' star was previously accused of cannibalistic fetishes, as well as sexual assault and abusive behavior by extramarital partners, a few years after 'Call Me by Your Name's release.  However, Hammer has denied all accusations and stated: “All the interactions have been completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance, and mutually participatory.”

The actress also stated, “It’s been five years since that film premiered here, and Luca hasn’t stopped taking us to exciting places."

The Internet quickly reacted to her speech. Another claimed, "She’s always so shady. I love her." A user wrote, "Ended Ellen with ease." A comment read, "First Ellen, now Armie. I can’t help but stan." A user wrote, "THAT'S MY GIRL YUP."

Another user stated, "She deserved oscar nomination for this." "We need her to host snl," read a tweet. Another urged, "Oh no she's too good in jokes game, she should try comedy gigs for sure."
