'Creed II' soundtrack featuring Kendrick Lamar, Bon Iver, Nas is streaming now
Next Wednesday (November 21) marks the release of 'Creed II', the sequel to the reboot of the 'Rocky' franchise that was helmed by indie filmmaker turned Marvel posterboy Ryan Coogler. In anticipation of the release, Mike WiLL Made-It’s star-studded soundtrack to one of the most anticipated films of the fall is out now. Subscribers of Apple Music and Spotify can stream it below.
The OST was previewed by ScHoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, and Eearz’s 'Kill ‘Em With Success', as well as the Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell Williams link-up 'The Mantra', but that still leaves tracks from Bon Iver, Lil’ Wayne, Nas, Nicki Minaj, Vince Staples, ASAP Rocky, and Rick Ross, as well as a posse cut called 'F.I.G.H.T.' featuring Gucci Mane, YG, Trouble, Quavo, and Juicy J. Cast member Tessa Thompson even gets in on the action, joining Gunna for a track called 'Midnight'.
Mike WiLL Made-It called it the “Collaborative project of the year, or maybe of our generation” on Instagram recently, and we previously ventured to say that the soundtrack could very well give the Kendrick-curated OST of 'Black Panther' a run for its money. Listen to the whole thing yourself and see how the two match up.
