Why didn't 'Crash Landing on You' Episodes 7 and 8 air on Netflix this weekend? Air date and preview

Fans are disappointed as the previous episode of the show left us hanging regarding Se-ri (Ye-jin) and Ri Jeong-hyeok's (Hyun-bin) fates. Will Se-ri find another route of escape and is that the reason why Jeong-hyeok is seen weeping or did she get captured as a South Korean spy in North Korea?

'Crash Landing on You' starring Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin is on a week's break. The episodes that were expected to air on January 4 and 5 respectively were postponed to air on January 11 and 12.

We want answers to these questions, but we would have to wait one more week before we see the path that Se-ri and Jeong-hyeok take. The reason behind the short break is the fact that the show is aired as it is shot and the current climate in the country doesn't permit continued shooting.

Hence, to keep the cast and crew away from shooting conditions that are unsafe and inappropriate, it was decided the show will return a week later by when the team hopes to catch up. According to a report in Soompi, a spokesperson of the production, said, "Due to the cold winter weather, the producers behind ‘Crash Landing on You’ decided to take a break this week so that the actors and staff members remain safe and healthy."

In place of the episodes that were expected to air, the channel aired old episodes that were edited to add a few moments for the audience's benefits. While fans are not too happy to wait, they do understand that the cast and crew's safety comes before everything else.

They, however, do not want to see the rating drop because of the hiatus. One fan reacted on Reddit, "Darn. After that cliffhanger too! Glad they are keeping safety a priority, as it should be!"

Many fans hadn't realized that the show was being shot as it was aired. One reacted, "This hurts. I just got into this drama and caught up. I knew I should have waited till it was completed before I started it."

One fan was especially frustrated with how things were left on the show before the break and said, "How are they going to get him healed up and stuff?? He'll need proper care, plus months till he'll become OK. Who's going to do that for him?? Hopefully, he'll go to his parents?? Will she stay by his side, seeing how he literally took the bullet for her, or will she leave, and they'll meet again abroad? Worst time to have a hiatus ever!"
