Colin Farrell and GF Kelly MacNamara 'quietly' call it quits after 5 years of dating over hectic work schedule
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Banshees of Inisherin' star Colin Farrell has reportedly called it quits with Kelly MacNamara after dating for over five years. The Irish actor and his girlfriend who were dating since 2017 broke up due to hectic work schedules. The schedule for 'The Banshees of Inisherin' shoot was reportedly demanding along with Colin's busy schedule portraying 'The Penguin' in Matt Reeves' 'The Batman'.
The news of their split comes after MacNamara, who works as PA for U2 guitarist The Edge, wasn't seen with Colin for some time. Sources told that the hectic schedules of both individuals caused the split, "Colin’s schedule took its toll on his relationship with Kelly and they quietly called it quits." They further added, "Colin is the man of the moment in film thanks to his role in The Banshees Of Inisherin. He spent months working on that along with the last Batman blockbuster, where he played Penguin," as per The Sun.

'We’re two ships passing in the night'
Colin Farrell has been in-between shoots, causing a dent in their relationship and the couple quietly calling it quits. The source continued to share intricate details about the split saying, "There is no bad feeling between them but upholding a romantic relationship when your work schedule is so demanding became difficult to juggle." Colin once shared about his relationship with Kelly and said, "My girlfriend, she travels a lot as well with work so oftentimes we’re two ships passing in the night. But we make sure to find a port that we can, you know, rendezvous at."
A hint at the Golden Globes
The Irish actor's hint about the split was quite visible at the Golden Globes when Farrell was seen praising the presenter Ana de Armas after he received Best Actor from her for 'Banshees.' He talked about Ana de Armas' role in 'Blonde' and shared, "Ana, I just thought you were extraordinary. I cried myself to sleep the night I saw your film, Blonde. I cried myself to sleep," as per the outlet. As the audience laughed, he added, “Not a joke, but you’re welcome to laugh." Colin has been quite modest about his love life and has dated actresses Lindsay Lohan and Carmen Electra. He also made headlines after he had a brief fling with Britney Spears in 2003.
Recently, Colin has been working on the eight-episode series 'The Penguin', a spin-off from the 2022 film 'The Batman.' The actor will return to the screens in the follow-up to the movie, with Robert Pattinson back as the alias of Bruce Wayne.
