Eagles fans' notorious history

The Eagles fans have made a name for themselves as one of the most merciless fans in the NFL. They have many instances all throughout history to prove this, but the most notorious one of all time was them booing and throwing snowballs at Santa Claus during an Eagles home game against the Vikings in 1968. Besides booing a Christmas icon, the Philly fans also booed Donovan McNabb back in the 1999 NFL Draft, because they wanted Ricky Williams to be picked for the second overall instead of McNabb.

Classless

Despite the bitter relationship between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys and the Eagles fans' notorious history, people on the internet are not happy with the Eagles fans booing someone who was winning a humanitarian award.

A person tweeted, "Honestly. Eagle fans booing Dak Prescott while he’s being honored as the Walter Payton Man of the Year is so sad and disrespectful. This award is given to players who’ve done amazing things OFF of the field. And you’re going to boo???". "That’s so classless. It’s an award about him being a good human being. Terrible", another added. Another user also called the act classless by saying, "That was so classless. Walter Payton’s children there and they are booing. Worst show of sportsmanship I’ve ever seen. you @dak and congratulations on such a great honor."

An angry NFL fan wrote, "If you’re a Cowboys fan rooting for the Eagles, think again. Their fan base just reached an all time low by booing Dak Prescott when he was being presented as Walter Payton Man of the Year. ??? Insane behavior". Mocking Eagles fans' notorious history, another person tweeted, "If you’re surprised you’ve never watched an Eagles home game."
