Lifetime's holiday movie lineup never ceases to amaze and their Christmas releases are to start rolling in December. The first week of December sees the release of holiday romance 'Christmas Ever After' where a romance writer named Izzi Simmons finds a muse similar to one of the handsome heroes in her novel. Here is all you need to know about the film starring Tony Award winner Ali Stroker.

Plot

The official synopsis reads, "Popular romance novelist Izzi Simmons spends every Christmas at her favorite snowy bed and breakfast, but this year, she’s faced with an impending deadline and a severe case of writer’s block. Luckily, inspiration strikes in the unlikely form of the B&B’s new owner Matt, who bears an uncanny resemblance to the handsome hero from Izzi’s novels. As both partake in the lodge’s annual itinerary of Christmas activities, Izzi’s writer’s block is cured and the first pages of her and Matt’s own love story may just be beginning."

Stroker is known for her roles as Nina in 'Lethal Weapon' (2018), Margot in 'City Boyz' (2019), Jeanie in 'Everday Miracles' (2015), and Ella in 'Instinct' (2018). In June 2019 she became the first-ever wheelchair-bound performer to win a Tony Award - she won for Featured Actress in a Musical for 'Oklahoma!' This year, she was nominated for a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album for the same production - she shared this nomination with principal soloists Damon Daunno, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Mary Testa and Patrick Vaill, producers Daniel Kluger and Dean Sharenow, composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein II.

Tomasso is known for his roles as Wes Nolan in 'Major Crimes' (2016-2018), Chad in 'Good Girls Revolt' (2016), Tom in 'French Exit' (2020) and Dario Salvatore in 'Ratched' (2020). His other works include 'Chicago Fire' (2018), 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' (2019), 'Dynasty' (209-2020), 'Major Crimes' (2016-2018), and 'Beauty and the Beast' (2012)

The rest of the cast includes Ellen David as Kim Simmons, Charlotte Legault, Bill Marchant, Kim Nelson, Alessia Zaccaro, Gita Miller, Melia Charlotte Cressaty, and Nicole Leroux

Arnie Zipursky, Suzanne Berger, Julianna Hays, Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer, and Fernando Szew serve as executive producers. Pat Kiely serves as director with Katrina Mathewson and Tanner Bean serving as writers.
