LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: During the first episode of the fifth season of 'Christina on the Coast', Christina Hall undertook the renovation of her parents Paul and Laurie Hacck's 1970s-era residence, a property that holds sentimental value as it is the very same house where Christina spent her childhood.

In the latest episode of the home renovation show, the HGTV celebrity transformed her parents's outdated home by giving the kitchen and dining room a complete makeover. She replaced some of the fully functional appliances in the kitchen with more contemporary and stylish ones.

Soon after, the fans of the show expressed their disapproval towards Christina's decision to replace functional appliances with newer models solely for the sake of keeping up with trends, taking to social media to voice their criticism.

One social media user wrote, "I'm always appalled when people want to get rid of perfectly good working appliances for the sake of the latest style. Such a waste!"

Another user chimed in, "I also agree with the parents of not placing the tv above the chimney. It’s not nice and comfortable."

Followed by a third user who penned, "Looks like she hasn’t given up her addiction to white shaker cabinets."

Another user went on to say, "Light bright and complete refresh and yes the floor needs to be brighter. Oh one of those windows that open out to the patio."

Another user quipped, "I get it that Christina is very concerned about her parents well being , and that she wants to be involved in the process, but I wholeheartedly agree that she should let her friend facilitate this project with her minor oversight."

'Christina on the Coast': How much did Christina Hall's parents home renovation cost?

Christina Hall is known for taking on large renovation projects, such as the $209,179 makeover of a friend's home and a $191,000 kitchen renovation. However, in the Season 5 premiere of 'Christina on the Coast', she undertook a special project by renovating her parents's house, where she grew up.

Despite being one of the least expensive remodels featured on her HGTV series, Christina managed to completely transform the outdated residence with a budget of only $75,000. The majority of the budget, $59,400, was allocated to updating the kitchen and dining room.

In the kitchen, the real estate investor reconfigured the layout, raised the ceiling, and installed new appliances, two-toned cabinetry, floating shelves, and white counters and backsplashes. The dining room received an update with new white chairs and a gold chandelier to complement her parents's farm table.

The bar area was revamped with a white marble backsplash, an ice maker, and a beverage fridge, costing $4,350. The laundry room was given a fresh look with green cabinetry and white hexagon tile flooring for $3,050. Additionally, the powder room was redone with a bold floral wallpaper for $8,200.

Christina's decision not to make any significant changes to the structure of the walls resulted in a smooth project that stayed within budget.
