'Never read comments': Fans comfort Christina Applegate after troll mocks her face amid MS battle
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Christina Applegate, who revealed her MS diagnosis in 2021, turned to Twitter to address a troll who said that she had her surgery performed by a "bad plastic surgeon." Several of Applegate's followers advised her to never read the comments after she posted a screenshot of the comments she received from the troll on Twitter.
Applegate, 51, admitted she contacted the troll after making the "unfortunate decision to look at some comments" on a post about her attending the Critics' Choice Awards with her children. It looks like 'The Sweetest Thing' star directly messaged the troll before they made the degrading statement in response. Applegate wrote on Twitter, "Of course I told her that it wasn't nice. This was her reply. What is wrong with people. By the way, I laughed," sharing a screenshot of the text messages the troll sent her after she replied to their comment on the CCA post. The troll replied, "Ms didn't make you look that way a plastic surgeon did. And you are a scammer and are notChristi a Applegate. And a bad plastic surgeon at that."

One admirer who offered Applegate advice that she could use at this time wrote, "Only very unhappy angry people hurt others always remember when you are happy you want everyone around you to feel the same, when you are miserable you want to bring misery to others. That always makes me feel good🙏."
Another fan understanding Applegate's scenario wrote, "Ugh. People on social media can be so cruel. I avoid comment sections like the plague for that very reason. By the way, you looked stunning in the pantsuit look you rocked on the carpet."
Another ardent admirer wrote, "My darling. You are beautiful inside and out. I love you from the bottom to the top of my heart, but you know that. Sadly, because of social media we get to see hateful messages from damaged individuals. Hurt people, hurt people. You are loved the world over, never forget that."
