Christina Aguilera fans, it's time to prepare for the collaboration of the century. Christina aka Xtina took to her social media on August 12 to tease what presumably is new music due out this week. It's not confirmed exactly what announcement the singer has in store for fans but based on a quick response from Rosalía, we may be getting a new song with her as a special guest.

"Stay tuned….Friday 💋❤️," Xtina wrote in the caption alongside a sun-kissed photo of her. Just three minutes after her post, Rosalía commented with an emoji, "💛." After her response, fans were quick to ask, "@rosalia.vt OMG is it a collab???? 😍😬😬😬" and "Is LaTina coming?!" and "@rosalia.vt new single?????"

Other excited fans shared comments like, "Beautiful queen! Excited to see what you have in store for us! Love you ❤️" and "Absolutely stunning wow ! 😍 Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us queen !" One fan said, "I WONT SLEEP TIL FRIDAY 😩❤️" Another fan wrote, "Omg so beautiful!!! So buzzing for Friday 😍😍🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 @xtina x x x."

Whatever the announcement may be, fans certainly cannot wait and are thrilled that Xtina is back. If the teaser alludes to a new collaboration, it will mark her first since September last year when she teamed up with A Great Big World for their own version of Andrea Bocelli and Matteo Bocelli's 'Fall On Me'. The year before that, Xtina collaborated with Demi Lovato on 'Fall in Line', released in May 2018.

As far as her larger projects are concerned, Xtina has been quiet over the past decade. Six years after her 2012 studio album, 'Lotus', the singer released her eighth LP 'Liberation'. So in 2020, after the two-year wait fans are craving for a new record. We can only hope Xtina's Friday announcement is to build up anticipation for more music she's tucked under her sleeve for days to come.

For her latest album 'Liberation,' Xtina had worked on it for four years before releasing it in 2018. On the LP, she collaborated with several producers and songwriters to reach her desired sound. Pharrell Williams and Linda Perry were in the studio in early stages but ended up not being on the album, while new collaborators such as Anderson Paak, Kanye West, Che Pope, Mike Dean and Tayla Parx were confirmed to be on the album. 'Liberation' features collaborations with Demi Lovato, Keida, Shenseea, GoldLink, Ty Dolla Sign, 2 Chainz, and XNDA.
