When will 'Chicago Med' Season 6 Episode 6 air? Will Halstead might go on 'new path' when medical drama returns
'Chicago Med' has been taking a new direction with Season 6 and that is especially visible with the character of Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss). In the previous seasons, Halstead has often been impulsive and a bit egocentric. Yes, Halstead is a good doctor, but he often relies on that a bit too much without looking into how others feel or are affected.
However, after he was passed up for the position of the Chief of the Emergency Department (ED), which went to Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) instead, Halstead has been doing a bit of soul-searching. He took the lead in a new clinical trial for which he sought the help of April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) and there may also be a new romance on the cards for him with Sabeena Virani (Tehmina Sunny).

Speaking of new romance, Halstead's ex, Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) and Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains) did the deed and perhaps Natalie regrets it already. She's thinking of Marcel's "reputation" and while we are not his biggest fans, we feel for him. Natalie is not the greatest when it comes to romance either, so we are not sure how this relationship will pan out.
Elsewhere in the previous episode, Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) fights for custody of his daughter, Anna (Hannah Alligood), with her mother, who has been separated from him for a while now. Anna gets some hard news in the previous episode when she learns she is pregnant.
The previous episode also saw the return of Noah Sexton (Roland Buck III), who messes up with a patient and leaves a syringe which the patient uses to inject himself with 10cc of Lidocaine. However, Noah's behavior makes it clear he did it on purpose, especially when he seems lax about resuscitating the patient. Noah may have done it because he wanted to help the patient end his pain, but he did so at the expense of his career.

'Chicago Med' Season 6 Episode 6 will air on Wednesday, February 10, at 8/7c.
What to expect from Episode 6?
The official synopsis for the next episode, titled 'Don't Want to Face this Now', states: "Dr Choi helps a patient with chronic pain find a solution. Dr Halstead considers a new path. Dr Charles and Anna bond over a scary situation."
While Ethan Choi has been having some great professional growth, he is also learning about some of his drawbacks. Ethan is best when he empathizes with his patient, so we hope the next episode helps improve his reputation this season.
At this moment, Halstead's "new path" could be either professional or personal. Either way, he needs it. Whether it means he will go out with Sabeena or if he will make a decision on continuing with the clinical trial, we hope the writers continue building his character. Considering he is the first 'Chicago Med' character viewers were introduced to, we cannot help but have a soft spot for him.
Meanwhile, Charles' role as a parent is going to be expanded further and we know now that the scary situation is Anna being pregnant. Anna is clearly too young to be a parent and we hope Charles deals with this in a way that Anna is not left alienated.
