'Chicago Med' Season 5 Episode 6: Manstead may finally be over and fans want it to stay that way

Will finally found out that Phillip slipped the ring on Natalie's finger when she was unconscious and he tells her just as she was breaking up with her fiance. However, Natalie tells Will to 'get out' of her life as well.

This week's episode of 'Chicago Med' was a continuation of last week's where Dr. Natalie Manning forcibly treated a patient whose parents hadn't given their consent. Though Natalie's initial diagnoses were wrong, the additional tests she ordered showed that the child had an autoimmune disease, which if left untreated, could attack all his organs.

Through the course of the episode, we were shown how Natalie was trusting her instincts, which eventually proved right, though her methods to achieve that were highly questionable. She follows with those instincts and decides to break up with Phillip. Just as she is telling him she can't marry him, Dr. Will Halstead comes running to tell her that Phillip has been lying to her -- Dr. Crockett Marcel has just told him that Phillip slipped the ring on Natalie's finger when she was unconscious.

Though Natalie has ended things with Will, 'Chicago Med' further broke "Manstead" fans' hearts when she tells Will she does not need him to take care of her and that he has to get out of her life. Many fans have mixed feelings as some felt Natalie was right in telling Will off for his controlling behavior. One fan tweeted, "Proud of you Nat! Will continues to embarrass himself with his desperate behavior."

But other fans are on Will Halstead's side. They want Will to take this as the final step in moving on from Natalie onto someone who would be much better for him. One fan tweeted, "Will, move on. Seriously, move on. You can seriously do way TF better than Natalie. She kinda treats you like sludge. To me, you’re way, way, way too good for her. #ChicagoMed." This may happen as Will had some serious chemistry with his the CDC doctor Andrea Danover, an old classmate of his.

Perhaps it's time for 'Chicago Med' to finally move on from the OG ship as well. If anything, Will and Natalie have proven time and time again to be toxic to each other. Sure, things are good when they get along, but more often than not, they have had problems with each other.

'Chicago Med' airs on NBC on Wednesday nights.
