'Chicago Med' Season 5: When will Episode 13 air and why is Dr Choi so worried?
'Chicago Med' fans might be disappointed when they tune into NBC tonight and realize that a new episode of the show is not airing tonight. As part of the scheduled breaks each season, all three shows of the 'Chicago' franchise have gone on a one-week break. So fans don't have to worry for long, new episodes will air next Wednesday.
We do, however, have a synopsis and a promo for the upcoming episode. Two young brothers are brought to the hospital in an emergency by their parents. Dr Ethan Choi, nurse April Sexton and Dr Daniel Charles tend to the two boys but they have to figure out what happened themselves after the parents refuse to tell them.
In the promo for the episode, one boy looks seriously injured while the other tells April that he didn't mean to hurt his brother. However, in the next shot, we see the attacker boy glaring at someone offscreen.
It looks like he might be quite dangerous as another shot shows him lunging to attack Dr Charles. Dr Choi seems to agree and tells Dr Charles, "When Jamie loses his temper, I'm afraid he could kill his brother."
What could happen depends on what Dr Charles could tell the other doctors about him. Would Jamie be cleared with enough therapy so his parents can ensure a good childhood for both their sons or will they have to make sure Jamie gets proper psychiatric care?
In last week's episode, we saw Dr Will Halstead consider giving up his activities at the unsanctioned safe injection center. However, when a woman whose life he saved comes in to thank him, he decides to keep working there. His tireless activities at the safe injection site start to take a toll on his work in this week's episode.
Meanwhile, Dr Natalie Manning becomes suspicious of a new mother entering the ED.
'Chicago Med' airs on NBC on Wednesday nights. The next episode will air on February 5.
